Rev. Dr. Terrlyn L. Curry Avery, Interim Executive Director of the Healing Racism Institute, recently traveled to Ghana, a place where her ancestors, and millions of other African men and women, were held before being shipped to and enslaved in America.

“This is soul work, the work of healing racism. It is important to know our history, and that history begins in Ghana and other places where the slave trade happened,” said The Rev. Terrlyn Curry Avery.

Seven Hills leadership participated in a two-day Healing Racism Institute of Pioneer Valley opportunity, learning and sharing experiences together. The day Healing Racism sessions, provided a safe environment to learn about the impact of racism on our nation, community, and workplace, in a process that was engaging and transformative.
HRI's vision to "...foster inclusivity, respect and resilience and provide an equal opportunity for all," resonated with our Seven Hills team and aligned with our own Vision. What a transformative experience for our team!
