This night we started to make a website about the US Cemetery Margraten. The site will contain stories about each service member buried and listed on the Wall of Missing. After intensive research in archives in the Netherlands,Germany and the US,the stories will be written ,by using official documents.

A dedicated memorial portal for the US Military Cemetery Margraten, honoring the legacy of WWII soldiers with historical precision and profound reverence for their service and ultimate sacrifice.

This weekend,we did started after a 3 years break,with WW. 2 Research again,we did received the following request:

During Operation Gr***de, the 407th Infantry Regiment as well as the 701st Tank Battalion of the 102d Infantry Division liberated the village of Lövenich (close to Erkelenz) on February 25, 1945. I found a book where a reporter wrote down day by day the activities and villages they went through to liberate and there were many casualties of course. Most of the US casualties from that area were brought to the Margraten American Cemetery in the nearby Netherlands. We would like to find out which Soldiers that are buried there fell in or around the village of Lövenich.
