The Orchid Society of the Ozarks meeting is definitely on for today, Alan Koch is speaking, doors open at 1pm, Northwest Technical Institute, Highway 265 in Springdale.

Alan Koch, of Gold Country Orchids will be the guest speaker at this Sunday, Oct. 18, at the Orchid Society of the Ozarks’ regular meeting. He will be discussing mini vandaceous species and hybrids for home growing. These orchids have lots of variety, colorful flowers and plants that will flower several times a year. Learn which plants to pick and how to grow them. Alan will be bringing plants to sell.
The meeting is at the Northwest Technical Institute on Highway 265 in Springdale. Doors open at 1 pm, with members bringing their own beautiful blooming plants to show. The meeting starts at 1:30 and the talk will begin shortly after.
Everyone is welcome.

This is just one of the 60 or more fantastic orchids that will be up for auction at the Orchid Society of the Ozarks annual auction, this Sunday, September 20. Doors open at noon to preview the plants, the bidding starts at 1 pm and will be done by 3:30.
There will also be a table of other house plants, donated by members, that will be for sale.
Everyone is welcome.
The auction will be held at our usual meeting place, the south entrance to the Northwest Technical Institute, on Highway 265 in Springdale.

At most of the Orchid Society of the Ozarks meetings members share snacks, and the Best of Show are almost always the brownies made by President Tim Kral. But last month we had a pretty remarkable spread.
As well as many beautiful plants on display-- an amazing show in mid summer.
But next week, September 20, is our annual Orchid Auction. No snacks, no show, but more than 100 outstanding plants to bid on and buy.
Everyone is welcome to take part. The doors open at noon for a preview look, the bidding gets started at 1pm.
It all happens at the Northwest Technical Institute, Highway 265 in Springdale.

Another great OSO meeting on Sunday, with an amazing number of members braving the heat and bringing more than a dozen beautiful plants to show.
Next month is our annual orchid auction, no plants on show but plenty to buy. Don't miss it. More information to follow.

We'll have more rare and beautiful orchids blooming at our meeting on Sunday, August 16, at the Northwest Technical Institute in Springdale.
Our program will be an AOS webinar by Sarah Hurdel on Growing Under Lights -- Greenhouse Not Required.
Everyone is welcome. Doors open around 1pm, and the meeting starts promptly around 1:30.
There will be snacks and a free drawing for the opportunity to take home a free orchid.

A couple of the beautiful orchids our members brought to show at last month's meeting.
We meet again this Sunday, August 16 at the Northwest Technical Institute, in Springdale. Doors open around 1pm to look at the blooming plants on display. The meeting starts around 1:30. Everyone is welcome.
We have no scheduled speaker but we will be making plans for next month's auction. Beat the heat -- it will be cooler inside than out. And orchids are always cool.

Our regular monthly meeting of the Orchid Society of the Ozarks is this Sunday, July 19th at 1:30 pm at the Northwest Technical Institute in Springdale. Everyone is welcome. Doors open at 1pm. There should be plenty of blooming plants on display for your enjoyment.
There is no program scheduled, but bring your orchid questions— we have many members with the expertise to help answer them.

Members brought plenty of their blooming plants to our Orchid Society of the Ozarks meeting June 28, to show them and for in-house judging. It's like we have our own orchid show each month.
We had a record 45 members and guests turn out for Ross's excellent program on paphs.
Our next meeting is Sunday, July 19. No program scheduled yet-- any volunteers or suggestions?
Regardless there should be plenty of plants to see, and lots of opportunities to talk about orchids. This group has plenty of expertise to share.

The Orchid Society of the Ozarks will hold its June meeting this Sunday, June 28, at the Northwest Technical Institute on Highway 265 in Springdale. Doors open around 1 pm, the meeting starts at 1:30. Members will have orchids on display and there will be free snacks.

Our speaker on the 28th will be Ross Hella, of Deerwood Orchids. He specializes in Paphiopedilums, and will have plants for sale.

You can also pre-order, which will give you access to a wider selection than what he'll be able to bring with him. Ross's updated price list is attached to this email as a PDF, or may be found on Google Drive with this link:
