ASD Hope, Inc. We at ASD Hope want to provide children with Autism and their families with an innovative school model that can meet their individual needs. ASD Hope, Inc.

With the increasing number of children with Autism, three public school teachers recognized the immediate need for a change in how children with Autism are being educated within the public school system. As they began their research into the world of educating children with Autism, they realized quickly, that there were limited options for educating children with Autism in the Houston area. So began their journey of forming ASD Hope, Inc., a non-profit, 501(c)3, dedicated to expanding educational opportunities for children with Autism and their families. recognizes the challenges children with Autism and their families face each and every day. Children with Autism are unique individuals that deserve a quality education developed using research-based curriculum along with a scientifically proven behavior model, Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). We will create an innovative environment that is engaging and responsive to each child at each stage of their development. As a charity, ASD Hope will reach out to the North Houston communities to create awareness of and the need for more educational opportunities for children with Autism and their families.

Where do I even begin?

When Cary and I, alongside Jane Walls, may she rest in peace, started Texas Autism Academy in 2017, we had no idea what the future would hold. What we did know was that God had called us to this journey, so we stepped out in faith and trusted Him every step of the way.

The past nine years have brought incredible joy, countless blessings, and more challenges than we could have ever imagined. We’ve experienced overwhelming love and support, but we’ve also faced criticism, obstacles, and moments that could have made us walk away. Through it all, God has remained faithful.

There is nothing ordinary about this journey, and there is certainly nothing ordinary about the calling God placed on our hearts. Texas Autism Academy was built on faith, sustained by faith, and will continue to grow through faith.

As prepare for and celebrate the beginning of our 10th school year, our hearts are full. This year is especially meaningful as we prepare to celebrate our very first graduating class. A milestone that once felt like a distant dream and is now becoming a reality.

To every student, family, staff member, volunteer, and supporter who has believed in our mission, thank you for being part of this journey.

Here’s to 10 years of faith, perseverance, purpose, and lives forever changed.

AIMS (Autism Inclusive Mentorship) is looking for SHSU student volunteers to support high school chemistry labs for autistic students at Texas Autism Academy (TAA).
