✨The Ethel Hedgemon Lyle Foundation of Texas 2026 Carolyn Gaines Scholarship Application is now open!📓📚

Our foundation awards scholarships to African American students graduating from high schools in the Aldine, Cypress-Fairbanks, Conroe, Klein, and Spring Independent School Districts.

You can find detailed information and the full application guidelines on our website. Applications must be submitted no later than February 15, 2026, by 11:59 pm.

If you are selected to move forward in the process, you will hear from us by March 31, 2026. 📆

✨ What a wonderful ride we had as EHL took the Soul Train to Christmas! ✨

On Sunday, November 16th, The Ethel Hedgemon Lyle Foundation of Texas (EHL) hosted a private showing of Take the Soul Train to Christmas, written by Ekundayo Bandele, directed and choreographed by Aisha Ussery, with musical direction by Melvin Johnson.

Guests also enjoyed a festive pre-show reception as part of our fundraising efforts. The evening was unforgettable and filled with joy, community, and connection.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our community supporters, and sponsors who joined us. Your presence and generosity helped us raise important funds that will support scholarships for youth in our community.

We look forward to welcoming you at our next event.
