Our 2022 Making the Law contest WINNERS Maggie O’Flaherty and Jackson Mariotti present their bill to modernize process servicing in Nevada. They took some tough questions from the judges (legislators or lawyers themselves), and did a fantastic job answering them. Congrats to Jackson and Maggie!!!

Making the Law Competition finalist Alex Perron presenting his bill that would address food waste in Nevada. With Las Vegas being one of the world’s food capitols, this bill suggests we shouldn’t have Nevada citizens going hungry. Thank you for your advocacy, Alex!

Great start to my Saturday participating in the 3rd MTL competition, and the first in-person finals sponsored by Policy and Legislation Society at William S. Boyd School of Law Such impressive students and policy ideas! Thank you to all who worked so hard to make this such a success. Special recognition of my daughter, Celssie Rae Hardy who established this organization and competition while a student at Boyd Law School. Her legacy continues! I’m sure we’ll see some of these ideas at in 2023!

Congrats to our president, Isaac Hagerbaumer for making the top five and congrats to PILA for a successful fundraiser supporting public interest law. Thank you to all who participated.

Pies for PILA is happening and you can get the opportunity to pie PALS President Isaac Hagerbaumer. PILA’s Annual Auction is next Thursday, 2/24, but they’re opening the bidding on Pies for PILA THIS Thursday, 2/17 (tomorrow!).

The minimum bid for Pies for PILA is $5. The five participants with the highest dollar values at the end of the Auction will be pied on a mutually agreed upon future date.

All bidding will go through PILA's GiveSmart website linked here: https://e.givesmart.com/events/p84/.
