The Spring Valley Community Cancer Fund has been incredibly blessed over the past several months, and we are so grateful to be able to share those blessings with members of our community.

The Spring Valley Quilters Club generously donated beautiful, hand-sewn lap quilts to include in our chemo bags. These bags are given to each community member undergoing treatment and are filled with items intended to provide comfort and encouragement during their appointments. The addition of these handmade quilts makes them even more special.

We are also deeply thankful to the Lynum Family for their generous donation of over $1,000 from their final Wildwood Poker Run, held in loving memory of Josh and Nikki. Their kindness and generosity will make a meaningful difference for local families.

Most recently, the Spring Valley community showed tremendous support at last Friday’s baked and mashed potato fundraiser. With 68 baked potatoes and three roasters of mashed potatoes enjoyed, it’s safe to say our community loves its potatoes! Thanks to your generosity, $1,380 was raised to support those facing cancer.

The Spring Valley Community Cancer Fund Committee sincerely thanks each and every person who donated, volunteered, attended, and supported these efforts. Your compassion and generosity continue to be a true blessing to our community.

Please join us for supper on 2/13.
Since 2012, the Spring Valley Community Cancer Fund has been blessed by the incredible generosity of the SV community. Because of you, we’ve been able to support 112 local school district residents undergoing cancer treatment with nearly $200,000 in local gift cards—helping cover essentials like medicine, gasoline, and food when they’re needed most.

If you’re able, please join us for a delicious dinner, warm conversation, and wonderful fellowship with friends and neighbors. It’s a chance to come together, share a meal, and continue showing what makes our community so special. 💛
Free-will donations will be gratefully accepted.

Thank you SO much for the many years of kindness, generosity, and support. We truly appreciate you—today and always!

Dear Spring Valley Community,

This year, we will not be placing the In Honor or In Memory signs or lanterns along the trail. However, the SVCCF tree has been lovingly decorated with lights and ornaments from years past, serving as a meaningful symbol of remembrance and hope.

As you drive or walk by, we invite you to pause, reflect, and keep our community members in your thoughts and prayers. You are also welcome to add an ornament to the tree as it continues to grow with shared memories and love.

The SVCCF Committee extends warm wishes to each of you for a blessed and peaceful Christmas season.

We will be taking down the signs and lanterns after the parade. If we get to them before you do, we will put your lantern on the ground so you can pick it up later. Thank you!!

Thank you, Spring Valley Community!

While the weather had us a little nervous during setup, you showed up in strength and spirit to support the SVCCF. Each person who joined us carried a story—walking in memory, in honor, in celebration, and in hope. Together, you created a beautiful reminder of what community truly is: people coming together to lift up families facing cancer.

If we tried to name every individual or business who contributed, someone dear would inevitably be missed. So to each and every one of you who supported the SVCCF and made yesterday’s event possible, please know you have our deepest gratitude.

And to those whose signs we regrettably missed placing on the trail—our sincerest apologies. Please know you are remembered, honored, and prayed for daily.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you.

We are excited to share that a couple of golf carts will be available at this morning’s event (with a special thank you to Spring Valley Golf Course!). If you are unable to participate in the walk but would like to enjoy the trail and view the signs and lanterns, please stop by Emmaus Church, and we would be happy to provide you with a ride after the start of the event.

📌 Event Schedule

Registration: 7:30 a.m.

Group Photo: 8:20 a.m.

Walk/Run Start: 8:30 a.m.

☕ Wake and Bake Coffee will be joining us at 7:00 a.m. to fuel our coffee lovers before the event.

The SVCCF team extends our heartfelt gratitude to all participants and supporters. Together, we have been able to bless 112 community members with nearly $200,000. None of this would be possible without your generosity and commitment.

We look forward to seeing everyone this morning!
