Good morning!
The 15th Annual Spring Valley Community Cancer Fund Walk/5K is just around the corner, and we are so grateful for the incredible support our community continues to show.

This event is about so much more than a walk—it’s about coming together to honor loved ones, remember those we have lost, celebrate survivors, and support families right here in our community. Every sponsorship, registration, and donation helps make a difference.

Sunday, August 16 – Sponsorship Deadline
If you would like to sponsor the event, please have your sponsorship submitted by Sunday, August 16. This will ensure we have time to include your business name or your loved one’s name on the back of the event shirts.

Wednesday, August 19 – Registration Deadline
Please register by Wednesday, August 19 to guarantee that you receive a shirt. We will be placing one shirt order with MBC Sports, so we want to make sure everyone who would like a shirt is included in that order.

Whether you are walking in memory of someone special, celebrating a cancer survivor, supporting a family member or friend, or simply coming together to help others, your presence matters.

Thank you to everyone who has supported the Cancer Fund over the years. Your kindness, generosity, and willingness to come together as a community truly make a difference in the lives of those affected by cancer.

If you have any questions or need assistance, please call 715-220-6860. We are happy to help!

We can’t wait to come together with our wonderful community once again.
Thank you for helping us make this year’s Walk/5K another meaningful and memorable event.

Join Us for the 15th Annual Spring Valley Community Cancer Fund Walk/5K

The 15th Annual Spring Valley Community Cancer Fund (SVCCF) Walk/5K is just around the corner! We invite you to join us on Saturday, September 19, 2026, as we come together to support our friends, neighbors, and families who are courageously battling cancer.

The Spring Valley Community Cancer Fund is a nonprofit organization staffed entirely by dedicated volunteers from the Spring Valley community. Since its founding in 2012, our mission has been simple: "Supporting Our Own."

Because of the incredible generosity of our community, 100% of every dollar donated or raised goes directly to providing emotional and financial support for local individuals and families facing cancer.

Each month, we provide:

Encouragement cards and gift cards to local businesses to help with everyday necessities such as gas, groceries, medications, and other essential expenses while receiving treatment.
Chemo care bags filled with thoughtful items to help make treatment days a little more comfortable.
Memorial lanterns and candles to honor loved ones during our annual event.

A cancer diagnosis impacts far more than a person's health—it places emotional, physical, and financial burdens on entire families. Frequent medical appointments, treatments, travel, and everyday expenses can quickly become overwhelming. Our goal is to help ease some of that burden and remind our community members that they are not alone.

Thanks to your continued support, since 2012 we have been honored to assist 118 community members by providing more than $226,000 in financial and emotional support. Every registration, sponsorship, and donation allows us to continue this important mission.

The Spring Valley Community Cancer Fund has been incredibly blessed over the past several months, and we are so grateful to be able to share those blessings with members of our community.

The Spring Valley Quilters Club generously donated beautiful, hand-sewn lap quilts to include in our chemo bags. These bags are given to each community member undergoing treatment and are filled with items intended to provide comfort and encouragement during their appointments. The addition of these handmade quilts makes them even more special.

We are also deeply thankful to the Lynum Family for their generous donation of over $1,000 from their final Wildwood Poker Run, held in loving memory of Josh and Nikki. Their kindness and generosity will make a meaningful difference for local families.

Most recently, the Spring Valley community showed tremendous support at last Friday’s baked and mashed potato fundraiser. With 68 baked potatoes and three roasters of mashed potatoes enjoyed, it’s safe to say our community loves its potatoes! Thanks to your generosity, $1,380 was raised to support those facing cancer.

The Spring Valley Community Cancer Fund Committee sincerely thanks each and every person who donated, volunteered, attended, and supported these efforts. Your compassion and generosity continue to be a true blessing to our community.

Please join us for supper on 2/13.
Since 2012, the Spring Valley Community Cancer Fund has been blessed by the incredible generosity of the SV community. Because of you, we’ve been able to support 112 local school district residents undergoing cancer treatment with nearly $200,000 in local gift cards—helping cover essentials like medicine, gasoline, and food when they’re needed most.

If you’re able, please join us for a delicious dinner, warm conversation, and wonderful fellowship with friends and neighbors. It’s a chance to come together, share a meal, and continue showing what makes our community so special. 💛
Free-will donations will be gratefully accepted.

Thank you SO much for the many years of kindness, generosity, and support. We truly appreciate you—today and always!

Dear Spring Valley Community,

This year, we will not be placing the In Honor or In Memory signs or lanterns along the trail. However, the SVCCF tree has been lovingly decorated with lights and ornaments from years past, serving as a meaningful symbol of remembrance and hope.

As you drive or walk by, we invite you to pause, reflect, and keep our community members in your thoughts and prayers. You are also welcome to add an ornament to the tree as it continues to grow with shared memories and love.

The SVCCF Committee extends warm wishes to each of you for a blessed and peaceful Christmas season.
