Just a reminder. The SMCC 2024 Frozen Raven will be held on February 10th. We will use the Entire SMCC Trail system, some sections used twice. An optional “pit bike “ race is being coordinated as well. Food and beverages will be provided. MUST be a 2024 SMCC member to race. The previous winners will be participating so brush up on your snow skills. More information to follow. Have a great New Year.

Hello fellow trail runners. Just a couple of notes prior to the running of the RAVEN. It seems like every year someone struggles to find Poe Valley State Park. The address is 136 Poe Valley Rd, Penn Township, PA. Some GPS devices take you through the mountain at Reedsville. The best way to get is there is to go to the top of the mountain on 322 and turn on to Sand Mountain road. Follow the signs from there nine mostly gravel miles to the park. Do not follow your GPS to nearby Reed's Gap state state park. (Poe Valley has an office there). There will be two portable toilets near the starting area and one unisex restroom with running water at the beach area. I can't wait to see you all Sunday! Have a great weekend!
