Spring has sprung! Spring is often a symbol of birth, new beginnings, but so many of us hold ourselves back from our own new beginnings even when they are happening right in front of us. Remember that you don’t have to wait for things to be perfect for things to be good. You don’t have to hold back until you “deserve” joy. There is so much beauty to be seen in the little things and it’s easy to miss, especially if we don’t think we’re ready yet, deserving yet, done yet. The truth is you’ll never be done growing and you’ll also never be done experiencing hard things. The good news is that’s ok because the world is also constantly trying to show you good things too! So sip your coffee a little slower, open the windows and breathe the fresh air, snap a picture of the blooming flowers, do whatever you have to do to notice you are right in the middle of your beautiful life.

7 years ago the world lost the bright light that was Sean. His character really shines through these photos, with his contagious love, laughter, and smile. To know Sean was to love him and unfortunately all that love now translates into grief. If you are experiencing grief, take a moment to reflect on the love it comes from, on how lucky you are to have known and loved Sean (or whomever) for as long as you did. We may not have gotten the future we wanted, but the past is just as precious. 🧡

Thank you and .swenarton for another successful Milk Mile!! It is such an honor to have Sean’s memory carried on. Sean was a sports lover whether it was playing casually with friends on the block or in parks, competitively on teams, or just watching on TV. He was a man of many talents and St. Rose is where he grew is running skills. Thank you to all for running, chugging, donating, but most of all remembering 🧡

The holiday season is in full swing! This time of year can bring up a lot of mixed emotions. It’s important that you take care of yourself, however that looks for you! TCSF wishes you peace, health, and happiness this coming year. However, if that doesn’t find its way to you, may you always remember that you are not alone and no matter how dark your days are, brighter ones lie ahead.

A new study by Bijesh Gyawali, a third-year doctoral student in the UMass Department of Resource Economics, has shown that anti-bullying laws are highly effective in reducing suicidal behaviors among high weight high school students in the U.S.
"In particular, the channel where these laws are working is the peer interaction, the peer bullying," says Gyawali. The research shows a decline of 19% in su***de attempts requiring medical treatment after anti-bullying laws were enacted, and a nearly 9% reduction in su***de attempts overall.

There are several ways you can support The CulleyStrong Foundation, including direct donations, matching gifts, and event sponsorship. Thank you to all of you for all your continued support. Supporting TCSF allows us to continue to allow Sean to help others through education, su***de prevention, mental health awareness, as well as supporting his passion for good sportsmanship, kind deeds and athletics!

A little about what we’ve been up to:
As founders of Hope Squad in New Jersey in 2022, we are honored to continue to support St. Rose in Belmar, NJ for that achievement.  Through the efforts and generous donations made, we are happy to announce there are 17 TCSF sponsored schools that have adopted a peer-to-peer, evidence-based program that works within high schools to reduce the stigma around mental health and su***de. In addition, this past year, we sponsored our first Elementary School at St. Dominic’s in Brick, NJ.  The designated students chosen by their peers are trained to identify at-risk students, provide friendship, and seek help from an adult and our trained teachers.  Further, and with the support of our partners, we are raising service dogs for our Veterans suffering with PTSD. We created The CulleyStrong Foundation (a recognized 501(c)(3), to allow Sean to continue doing something he loved—help others.  With your support, we are actively pursuing more high schools to adopt the successful an available Peer To Peer program and give a helping hand to those in need.

We welcome and encourage your support, And together we ALL make a difference! This event is a time to raise awareness of this stigmatized, and often taboo topic. We use this event to shift public perception, spread hope and share information to people affected by su***de.  Your sponsorship and donations will provide our communities and high schools the support that will help those struggling. So Help Us Help Them and Provide the Hope they are seeking for…
Hit-em Straight.. And Good Luck 🧡

6 years ago, The CulleyStrong Foundation was created out of complete devastation when Sean Culley died by su***de at 19 years old. Since then the foundation has grown and blossomed into a source of comfort, help and hope to those who are struggling. We have heard from people who have had the courage to ask for help after Sean died. The word “help” is only 4 little letters, yet one of the most difficult words to voice out loud. So thank you to all who are struggling and had the courage to come out today. You are amazing and we are in awe of you! Together we are making a difference. TCSF and Culley family is grateful to each and every one of you for supporting us in our mission 🧡
