PIFF Empowers!

Who is PIFF? Women are often said to be angels who show unconditional love for their families and their communities. Through our PIFF FLIP (Future Life Improvement Program) we strive to "empower women with a hand up and not a hand out". Women come to PIFF with wings burdened by their past, weighing them down, and keeping them from reaching their full potential. Some of these burdens include lack of financial stability, education, transportation, health, and self-confidence. The women and families at PIFF are not looking for pity or sympathy, simply a new beginning toward a positive future. We believe that by empowering women to gain new skills and self-confidence they are able to free themselves of many of their burdens and take flight. We empower our women and families with a variety of personal and professional development programs that include Microsoft training, public speaking, healthy meal preparation, exercising, budgeting, and more. We believe that when women take flight they will take their families and communities with them. PIFF empowers women and families to move from a place of no hope to a future of endless possibilities. We prepare PIFF families to face the world with confidence and new skills. Upon leaving PIFF, the goal is for women to be stronger, more confident, obtain employment and ultimately, do things they never thought they could. To “pay it forward” means to respond to an act of kindness by paying it forward to someone else. At PIFF we appreciate the help and support that we receive from our community and we strongly encourage our PIFF members to “pay it forward” to others. “Paying It Forward” is important to our program. As a part of personal and professional development our PIFF families participate in helping others in the community, in turn paying it forward. Each and every day our PIFF women and families move one step closer to reaching their goals and taking flight.

¿Quién es PIFF?

A menudo se dice que las mujeres son ángeles que muestran un amor incondicional hacia sus familias y sus comunidades. A través de nuestro PIFF FLIP (Programa de mejora de la vida futura) nos esforzamos por "empoderar a las mujeres con una mano hacia adelante y no con una mano hacia atrás". Las mujeres llegan a PIFF con alas cargadas por su pasado, pesándolas y evitando que alcancen su máximo potencial.
