I was honored to meet King Charles III on Commonwealth Day at Westminster Abbey. The gathering brought together global leaders to discuss collaboration, understanding, and building a more peaceful and sustainable world.

We are especially proud of King Charles’ long-standing connection to Rotary. He is an honorary member of the Rotary Club of Banchory-Ternan and a recipient of the Rotary Award of Honour in recognition of his support for global polio eradication efforts.

Thank you to our Rotary members across Great Britain for their continued leadership, and to Judith Diment, Rotary’s representative to the Commonwealth and chair of the Polio Eradication Advocacy Committee.

A former member continues to do good by being inducted in a Rotary club near her home. Congratulations Christine.

Mark inducts Christine into our club again! Chris is shown with sponsors Lace and Rebecca. Chris's job took her to Hernando County and she joined a Rotary there for awhile, but when retirement came up, she came back to her hometown club!

We had fun raising funds for Rotary's End Polio Now initiative!

Did you know that Rotary International has been a leading force in the global fight against polio since launching its PolioPlus program in 1985 to eradicate the disease? Rotary has raised and contributed over 2.6 Billion Dollars and millions of volunteers around the world have participated in immunization efforts, training and awareness programs. Polio has been reduced by 99.95% worldwide since 198 and today, there are very few countries left with even fewer active cases.
