Marley Rogers update 8/28/26:

We are completing the diabetes education classes so that she can move down to the Rehab floor.
HD is as needed, her potassium is an issue so the nurses decant the formula and she drinks k-escalate with crystal lite in the morning and evening.
Eating more by mouth daily and keeping it down! The motegrity is helping empty her stomach quicker.
She does big hard things at pt and ot— she got a new wheelchair so that she can move herself!! Her therapists fully believe she will regain strength and muscle enough to walk run and play again. She really wants to be back in soccer and swim.
Prayers continue to be answered.
Marley continues to be bright light to the nurses, doctors and other patients. She loves buying stuffies for kids she meets on the floor. She truly is a miracle. A nurse said “so this is Miss Marley. The entire hospital knows of this brilliant, brave girl. I’m so honored to meet you.”

Update on Addi 8/28 at 10:30 -
Last night they did a ct scan with contrast to see if there was any blood clots in her chest area, they did not find any clots which is good. The doctors believe that it’s an infection in the lungs that can be fixed with meds and time. Addi still has a little temp, so Tylenol. The drs say she has a lot of fluids extravascular and very little intro vascular and they need that to switch, they are doing dialysis again today to try and get 3 liters of fluids off. They would like to take the breathing tube out today as well.
Lots of information but thankful for a team of doctors that are working diligently along with Gods help to get Addi through this hiccup.
Keep praying and praising. To God be the glory. We as a family continue to praise him in the valley as well as the mountain tops.

Update on Addi 8/27 at 4:30pm-Addi will remain in ICU and on the vent for now, however, this is helping her breathe and remain calm. The Drs were able to scope her when they intubated her and have sent off samples. Those will take time to grow, but in the interim they have her on antibiotics to treat the possible pneumonia. They also did dialysis today and they pulled off 2.5 liters of fluid. That too has helped with the breathing. She will have dialysis again tomorrow too. The ICU Dr was pleased with her progress today.
The Hematology team also came back today. They are wanting to run the blood cultures again because they are seeing some abnormalities that may help them better understand how they need to be supporting the HUS. This diagnosis is a rare one and as they have all said this is a highly complex and complicated case.
Our praise today is God brought in just who we needed at just the right time. The ICU doctor’s specialty is in lungs, so he quickly knew exactly what to do. He sent people to pray with us and people to encourage us. You don’t know what that means until you are in the midst of things. I am thankful for God not only looking after Addi, but us too. He is a good Father.
Please pray without ceasing! Praise for her lungs to heal. Pray for the fluid to be absorbed and for the pneumonia,if there, to respond well to the antibiotic. Pray for her kidneys to respond too. Pray and give thanks for our drs, nurses, techs etc. they are amazing and God has us right where we need to be. Please pray for rest for Addi, Ashley and Drew. Thank you for your continued prayersđź’•

Moving her back to ICU. Progressive care doesn’t have oxygen to handle. Continue to pray please.

Update on Addi 8/26 at 8 am - Addi had a rough afternoon and night. She needed a blood transfusion and spiked a slight fever. Then last night her oxygen levels dropped and her heart rate went up. She was very anxious. Didn’t sleep well from 2 until 6 then at 7 am they came to take her to dialysis. We know there are peaks and valleys and yesterday was a valley.
So lots of prayer requests. Please pray for her gut health and that she will tolerate food better. Pray for her anxiety and mental health. This is a lot to understand and sort through especially at 18. Pray for the nurses, doctors, techs, dietitians and anyone else treating Addi. Pray for strength and wisdom for Ashley and Drew as they advocate for Addi. Pray for physical and mental healing for my sweet girl. She’s out of the woods but still in the forest. We all need Gods loving arms wrapped tightly around us. Some days are just hard. Praying for a better day and night today💕

Update on Addi 8/25 8:30 am - Addis heart rate was very high last night requiring meds to bring it under control. Because of this Addi didn’t sleep very well. So Ashley is letting her sleep some this morning. We believe PT will work with her again today, or at least will get her up in the chair.
Praise. Ashley said Addis voice was stronger this morning so that is wonderful. It’s been so long since we actually heard her voice, so we are thankful. Pray it continues to grow stronger.
Please continue to pray for her kidneys to do begin healing soon and that physically she grows stronger. Pray that her heart better handles the dialysis.
When Addi comes to your mind, thank God for all He has already done and all that He will continue to do to heal her. We serve a mighty God! I am sure none of us could handle things daily without His love, grace and mercy upon us. Thank you all for continuing to pray đź’•

Update on Addi 8/24 at 2pm -First, I apologize for the delay. Addi went to Dialysis at 7:30 this morning and it takes about 4 hours. As soon as she returned to her room PT and OT arrived to start her on exercises and getting her up and in the chair. So when I say she will be exhausted, I truly mean it!!!!!
Ashley met with the doctors and they worked on a plan of action for moving forward. Calorie count needs to be around 2000 daily. Please pray for her stomach to continue to heal and that she can tolerate food better. Ashley is keeping a list of foods that make her sick so we can avoid.
Continue to pray for healing of her kidneys. That is such a big prayer request!
Also, pray for her to gain the strength necessary to continue to heal. God is so good and He is providing just what we need when we need it!!!
Thank you for all that continue to lift her up before our Heavenly Father. We are to the heavy lifting part of the journey where she will have to work hard. Add PT and OT to your prayers along with all her many doctors and nurses. They are greatđź’•

Addi update 8/23 at 9:30 am - Addi got settled into her new room and rested yesterday and last evening, we are extremely thankful for that. You know yesterday was interesting…we had prayed for her to start to heal enough to be able to leave the ICU, but when God answered that prayer, we became afraid and anxious. What if they didn’t watch her as close, what if, what if. In the quiet last night we realized we had stumbled in our faith. The same God that had saved Addi and brought her this far was still the same. We had allowed fear to cloud our eyes. So with prayer and confession we thank God and ask His continued blessing of healing on our sweet Addi. We know the road is going to have twists and turns and moments of uneasiness, but we also know who walks beside us.
So please pray for the new doctors and nurses, the team that continues to manage Addis care. Pray for Addis kidneys, and her to begin moving. Pray for her continued healing. Addi is an amazing young woman and we thank God for her every single day. I personally am grateful to watch a miracle as it unfolds. I am also so grateful and thankful to watch Ashley, Drew and Payton as they navigate this. Please continue to pray. Gods not finished yetđź’•

Addi update 8/22 at 1:45pm - Praise Him, Praise Him! At 1 am last evening Addi was moved out of ICU!!!! After a minor hiccup we are in the Progressive Unit and once again with the best nurses possible. I am grateful to God for the many friends who are praying and always available to talk and help. God has surrounded us with an AMAZING village who at a moment’s notice will jump into action. He also surrounded us with FAITHFUL prayer warriors who continue to lift Addi up before the Throne!! Just amazing 💕
Please continue to pray for her kidneys, voice and overall healing. Pray for strength and peace over her thoughts and mind. She is one fierce and brave girl.
Pl see continue to lift her up. We serve a mighty God who continues to hold us with His righteous right hand. Love and thanks to allđź’•đź’•
