🩷Emma update 6/5--- huge improvement!!!!

Psalms 13:5-6 NASB1995
[5] But I have trusted in Your lovingkindness; my heart shall rejoice in Your salvation. [6] I will sing to the Lord, because He has dealt bountifully with me.

Emma had a good night and is shaping up for a great day. They are planning to increase the rate of her liquid feeds, so she will be at or near the feed goal by tomorrow. Tomorrow, the plan is to change the ventilator settings to a less unique setting and see how she does. Additionally, in three days, the doctor thinks she can be on dialysis intermittently instead of continuously. Thank you for your continued prayers for these and other goals, such as continued movement and more alertness.

Praises of the day:
Emma is staying awake longer!
She is more alert and aware of her surroundings.
She is trying to interact a little.
She is moving her feet!
Getting more nutrients in her.
She is so much more peaceful and less fearful.

God gives every good and perfect gift. He loves and He blesses. He strengthens and He provides. He works in ways only He can. We rest in Him because He is faithful, He is good, He is love, and He is God. He has walked with us through the valleys of this journey. He has never forsaken or failed. Our hope and lives are in Him. Thank you, God, for all You give and all we have gained through You. Thank you, Jesus. All the praise and glory go to You.

⭐️Let's celebrate! ⭐️Brookie Marris is celebrating her 1 year anniversary today June 4th. 💙Parker's Promise💙 was able to assist the Marris family during her hospitalization June 2025 - we walked through it with them, we sent Brookie a care package, we also sent siblings Alana and Devin care packages. We have welcomed them into our Parker's Promise family and connected them to community. No family should have to walk this alone. We promise to stand with you. Please read what her mom Emily wrote today:

"Thank you isn’t big enough .. you all have been so instrumental in our healing and helping us throughout this whole process .. today marks one year since Brookie was hospitalized and since our lives were forever changed. Brookie has made a miraculous recovery and is thriving, but on June 4, 2025 we almost lost her… and again on June 7th when she had 3 cardiac arrests. All of us were living a terrifying nightmare fearful that our sweet little 17 month old may not survive. HUS is such an up and down, constantly changing and complex medical condition and every day, even every hour some days, was different. Once I found you all, it seemed like I’d found an anchor… a calmness amid all the chaos we’d been experiencing. I’ve never felt more supported from folks that didn’t even know me… yet it felt like I’d found a family to hold us up and help navigate the scariest thing we had ever known. Brookie went home on Father’s Day last year and she’s made amazing growth and progress through physical therapy and speech therapy. Every step of the way, Parker’s Promise has been there for us. And here we are on the one year anniversary of it all starting, and you still are loving on my family by sending a care box for our son. You all are so loved by my family. Thank you forever"

🩷 Emma update from her mom 6/4:

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
[16] Rejoice always; [17] pray without ceasing; [18] in everything give thanks; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

Emma's evening was restful. She has a diuretic test today and a test to check that all the extra abdominal fluid is gone. Thank you for your continued prayers for Emma. Our great God hears them, and His answers, even when we don't understand, are always good. He is our good, good Father.

Praises of the morning:
Nurses thought she was having a seizure and she wasn't. Praise God!
She got some old blood cleaned out of her stomach! Clearing her tummy out a little bit more.
Thank you, Jesus.
Her hair is beginning to look a little more full, showing her body is getting nutrients.
So grateful, Lord!
She was awake and able to find me when I spoke to her.
God is working! Don't stop praying!

We serve a good God! We serve a faithful God! He is with us in the valleys and on the mountain tops. He gives us everything we need. He has been supplying us with everything we have needed. He has been giving Emma everything she needs. We feel His presence! We know He is here! We know He is working! We know He has a purpose and plan. For God is never knocked off His throne, and no one can sn**ch us out of His hand. He is the almighty One! To Him and Him alone belongs all the glory and praise! Thank you, God!

Psalms 9:1 NASB1995
[1] I will give thanks to the Lord with all my heart; I will tell of all Your wonders.

Guess who responded! Neurology team came by and checked Emma. She had movement in her left leg that she never had before. She moved!

God did that! This mommy needed encouragement. Emma reponded, she moved just a little but it was a response. God did that! He gave that gift! He knew how badly my heart needed that. He has been carrying us this whole journey. Thank you, Jesus. Thank you so much! I am so grateful for Your lovingkindness. Thank you, Lord! You are so good!

🩷Emma update 6/3 at 12pm:

Psalms 36:10 NASB1995 [10] O continue Your lovingkindness to those who know You, and Your righteousness to the upright in heart.

Emma had a great evening, and we are confident God is continuing to heal her. Nutrition and liquid food are going well. They are going to lower some of the vent settings. Please continue to ask God to help the staff remove fluid building up in her abdomen and for her kidneys to perform well during her diuretic test tomorrow.
Blessings of the day: Kidneys are showing some function. She seems restful and at peace. She is shifting her eyes well and able to track us. She recognizes our voices.

God, You are good. You are faithful. You have poured out Your lovingkindness over us. Thank You, God, for Your mercy and for the hope You give. Thank You for little signs of goodness in daily reports. God, this world is not our home; it is only temporary, and yet You give us grace. I praise You for that! I wish I knew what awaited me. I wish I understood more. Yet in Your mercy and love, I feel like You are here. You understand and You care. Thank You for that, Jesus. Thank You for stepping down from heaven to pour out Your love for us. My heart grieves over little things, yet those little things matter to a big God, too. You have shown me time and time again how good You are, and I praise You for that. No matter what awaits, God, You have Emma, and You have me. You hold all of us, and You are still working.
Thank You for walking with us on this journey. Thank You for prayers and love. On the good days, the hard days, and the days when we feel a little overwhelmed, God has got this. It is not too much for Him.

🩷Emma update 6/2:

2 Samuel 22:2-3
[2] He said, “The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; [3] My God, my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold and my refuge; my Savior, You save me from violence.

Emma had a great night. God stabilized the gas leak and kept her vitals in a good spot. She also produced more urine. The goals for today are to keep healing and increasing organ function. God is able to do more than we can even imagine.

The Lord answers prayers! He is working! You can feel the peace that passes all understanding, which is only explainable because God gives it. This is a journey of many ups and downs, yet God is carrying us. Your prayers are such gifts to us; you are giving us the greatest gift you could by praying for us. Thank you so much.

Emma was able to follow me for a few minutes. There is peace in her eyes, not fear. She recognizes my voice! She had a wet diaper! Little steps, but they are steps. God has her! Keep praying! We don't know His plans, but He is working. This is a journey, and you are doing your part.
