It has come to my attention that some poor soul drove from Lee's Summit, Missouri to our lovely Frog Sanctuary looking for admission into the park. This poor unfortunate soul didn't read the information about this page before taking the expensive drive (because let's face it, with gas prices what they are it's expensive to go anywhere) and is slightly upset about that.
So, here is my PSA about this page... Unless you feel like a nice Sunday drive, don't waste your valuable petrol to drive to Spring Hill to check out the Frog Sanctuary. City of Spring Hill, KS Government does have some wonderful amenities. K & M BBQ Spring Hill Kansas , The Bean Coffee & Cafe , Berry Branch Antiques, LLC , and Pop's Sweet Shop of Spring Hill would all be totally worth the drive!
While frogs do in fact live in the old abandoned city pool and can be viewed on nice sunny summer days, access to their habitat is strictly prohibited. You can see them pretty well from the chain link fence surrounding the pool, if you are so inclined to come take a peek. They live quite happily in their small ecosystem (AKA: the old pool that fills about half way with water because of seasonal rain and snowfall). Please, just stay on the outside of that fencing because we are sure that Spring Hill Police Department probably has better things to do than to fish you out of the mucky pool.
Once again, just to be perfectly clear...This is a joke page that was created because some residents believe the old pool could be reopened or at least have the property repurposed for something much more useful that would benefit the community. This page is just to bring a little humour to the situation. Please do not drive down looking for access to the Frog Sanctuary and then message me because we were not open during regular business hours. This "park" is permanently closed. However, if you are looking for a nice (much, much cleaner) pool to make a splash in, the Spring Hill Aquatic Center would be a great choice once they are open for the season.
Thank you and have a lovely day!
