Trails ARE CLOSED for the rest of the season. Too much debris and downed trees make it unsafe to open.

With the weather forecasting Snow this Friday….we are taking time to warn everyone that the trails WILL NOT OPEN for any amount of time on Friday, March 3. Way too much water on the fields, and the weather is supposed to warm up the next day. We also are aware that Walworth county has said the same thing.

Well, the time is come, that we have to take and shut down the trails for Mchenry County. All the other counties around us have closed and we are closing as of tonight as well.

Sorry everyone, Internet issues the last few days. But if you always call the hotline not just look on Facebook you’ll hear the information needed. Obviously the trails are closed and more than likely we are done for the season. Sure wish we could’ve had snow this year. Well like the cub fans say, there’s always next year.

Reluctantly the trails of McHenry County will be open. There is a s 4 inches of fluff, rough and icy spots! This will be a day to day situation! Please be careful. This is not the type of conditions for you to see how fast you can go!
