Giants of the Earth Heritage Center Honoring the giants of our past to keep our stories alive today. Giants is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization, and donations to it are tax-deductible.

Located in Spring Grove, MN’s 1st Norwegian settlement, we preserve and share local history through oral storytelling, genealogy, exhibits, cultural programs, and selection of gifts & books. Providing an advanced personalized and collaborative approach to historical preservation, Giants of the Earth Heritage Center offers genealogical and genetic genealogy assistance, digitization services, and vi

deo interviews of citizens about historical events, experiences, and values. Our local history museum exhibits provide a glimpse into Spring Grove's past, and challenge visitors to consider its future.

It's again and that means it's time for another recipe for a sweet treat! This week, we have Cornelia Sheldon's rich brown sugar pie.

BROWN SUGAR PIE

3 eggs well beaten
2 level T flour
2 c brown sugar
1 ¼ c sweet milk
2 T or more of butter

Mix well and pour into unbaked pie shell. Bake like custard until knife comes out clean.

Update: Our goat friends from Russian Ridge Farm Nigerian Dwarf Goats plan to arrive at 3pm today.

In case of heavy rain during either of today's Baby Goat Cuddling (1pm-4pm) and Storytime with Goats (4pm-5pm) events, we'll delay the 1pm start time and move storytime indoors at Giants.
