The HPTA 2025 Annual Meeting was held in Calgary, Alberta, September 25–26, 2025, the humic industry’s most important gathering of the year, where industry leaders, innovators, and stakeholders came together to explore the latest advancements, share insights, and strengthen connections within the humic substances sector.

On Thursday, September 25, the mine tour sponsored by WestMET featured a visit to their 17,000-acre site near Hanna, Alberta. The guided bus tour included:
• A history of the mine site
• A stop at an open pit to view the geological formation of the reserve
• Visits to key reclamation sites—including a reclaimed pond
• A look at soil fabrication in progress using humates
This year’s agenda was packed with a diverse group of presenters, plus important annual updates from the HPTA President, Secretary/Treasurer, Science Committee, and Marketing Committee. Thanks so much to all our sponsors!
