Calling all sportsmen’s clubs, conservation organizations, and anyone who wants to provide opportunities for new hunters — we’ve got an awesome program for you!

The mentored pheasant hunt program is designed to provide new hunters with a unique opportunity to gain experience hunting. Every year, the Game Commission works with organizations across Pennsylvania to sponsor instructional pheasant hunts for mentored permit holders or junior license holders by providing pheasants for these events.

So WHO can host a mentored pheasant hunt?

If your hunt is open and available to the public and meets any of the following criteria, you can apply!

- Sportsmen’s club
- Any chapter or association of a conservation nongovernmental organization that supports new hunters
- Federal or state government agencies that promote hunting on their properties
- An organization that helps promote recruitment and retention of hunters

Purchase your license online at huntfish.pa.gov or in person at any license issuing agent. MAP: https://bit.ly/licenseagents.

REMINDER: Pennsylvania residents are GUARANTEED an antlerless license for ANY WMU for 21 days through Sunday, July 12.

Share it, save it, mark it down — 2026-27 licenses go on sale Monday, June 22, 2026!

The first day to purchase your 2026-27 Pennsylvania hunting and trapping licenses AND resident antlerless licenses for ALL WMUs is Monday, June 22.

Like last year, ALL resident hunters are GUARANTEED an antlerless license in any WMU in the first round, IF purchased prior to July 13. No need to wait in line — you’ll have 21 days to get your guaranteed antlerless license!

Monday, June 22 (8 a.m.) – RESIDENTS ONLY: antlerless licenses on sale for all WMUs, guaranteed to all PA residents.

Monday, July 13 (8 a.m.) – NONRESIDENTS: unsold antlerless licenses available on a first come, first served basis. WMU allocations will apply.

IMPORTANT REMINDERS:

Hunters will need their state identification (driver’s license) OR CID number to purchase licenses in person and online. Your CID number can be found on your previous year’s hunting or fishing licenses.

Prior to purchasing your license, log in to your HuntFishPA account and update your email address. We’ll periodically email important information and updates about hunting licenses and regulations you won’t want to miss!

One antlerless deer license can be purchased per round in the first three rounds. More info at: https://bit.ly/Antlerless.

You DON’T have to purchase your license online; you can still purchase in-person at any license agent. Find the closest one to you at: huntfish.pa.gov/agentlocator/.

Thank you for another successful breakfast!
We want to thank all of our members who put it together and helped out. Also, thank you to our wonderful community and donors for keeping our club and Pennsylvania Hunter/Trapper Education classes going.

Our breakfast event was a huge success! Thanks to your support, we were able to serve over 200 breakfasts this morning. We are fortunate to have such a caring community.
