🚩🔥 Red Flag Warning vs. Burn Ban — Not the Same Thing, Folks 🔥

Alright friends… let’s clear this up before someone says, “But I thought it was fine…”

🚩 Red Flag Warning = The Weather is in a Mood
Issued by: National Weather Service - What it means:

Mother Nature just lined up the trifecta — Strong winds, warm temps, low humidity/dry fuels

If a fire starts, it’s going to run like it just stole something.

🔥 Burn Ban = The Law Has Entered the Chat
What it means: No outdoor burning. Violating a burn ban can = Fines, Citations

Quick & Simple
Red Flag Warning = Weather prediction.
Burn Ban = Legal restriction.
Red Flag often triggers Burn Ban. BURN BAN IS ON

If the wind is howling, the grass crunches when you walk on it, and you’re thinking,

“Eh… it’ll be fine…” It will not be fine.

Let’s keep our firefighters bored and our grass unlit. 🔥
