Texas Public Safety Divers was proud to recognize the Texas Hill Country Kiwanis Club for their generous support of our team and our mission.

Following the devastating 2025 Kerrville floods, TXPSD responded to assist with search and recovery operations. During that response, our handheld underwater sonar system was heavily used and ultimately failed.

The Kiwanis Club stepped forward and donated a new AquaEye underwater sonar system, replacing a critical piece of equipment and restoring an important search capability for our team.

As a small way of saying thank you, we were proud to recognize Kiwanis as a Generous Supporter of TXPSD and give them a place on our response trailer.

Their support directly strengthens our ability to serve communities across Texas when the call comes in.

Thank you to the Kiwanis Club of the Texas Hill Country for standing behind Texas Public Safety Divers and the work we do.

Had an incredible opportunity to fly with the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds.

Experiences like this don’t come around often, and getting a firsthand look at the precision, professionalism, and teamwork behind the Thunderbirds was something I won’t forget.

Of course, I couldn’t leave without representing Texas Public Safety Divers.

Managed to sneak in a last-minute patch swap before wrapping things up.

Huge thanks to the men and women of the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds for the experience and for everything they do representing the Air Force around the country.

Training Day with Texas Public Safety Divers

Today’s training focused on one of the most important parts of any underwater recovery operation: finding the target.

Our team worked through multiple underwater search patterns, reinforcing diver positioning, tender communication, coverage, and maintaining an organized search area.

We also trained with our AquaEye sonar systems, giving team members more hands-on time using sonar to identify potential targets and narrow search areas before divers enter the water.

Technology is a powerful tool, but it works best when paired with solid fundamentals, practiced procedures, and a team that knows how to work together.

Every training day adds another layer of experience we can carry into the next real-world response.

Today, Texas Public Safety Divers was incredibly blessed to receive two heartfelt cards from students at a local school in remembrance of the tragedy of September 11, 2001.

Their words meant more to our team than they may ever know.

More than two decades later, seeing a younger generation take the time to remember the lives lost, the families forever changed, and the first responders who answered the call reminds us why it is so important that we continue to teach, remember, and honor that day.

To the students and staff who thought of us—thank you. Your kindness, respect, and remembrance truly touched our entire TXPSD family.

We will never forget.
