Beginning 10pm tonight (7/14) through 9pm Saturday (7/20) we will hold a raffle for the below listed cooler.

Drawing will be held at 9pm Saturday 7/20 at Dominion Raceway. You do not need to be present to win but would ask you to come out and join us for Public Safety Day at the track.

All proceeds from this raffle will benefit the Norman Brooks Memorial Fund and will support the Chief Norman Brooks Sr First Due Fire School.

On February 13, 2019 the Spotsylvania community lost a leader, and a great part of the firefighter community. Chief Norman Brooks, Sr. was one of the very first career firefighters in Spotsylvania County, and would retire a well respected Battalion Chief. Chief Brooks was a fireman’s chief and whether career or volunteer, he always looked out for his people. Chief Brooks was one of the most dedicated community members for years, and his influence has reached hundreds through the firemen he helped train and lead. A small group of firefighters, heavily influenced by Chief Brooks, have decided that his legacy of firemanship must live on. Today July 1, 2019 we proudly announce the 1st annual Chief Norman Brooks, Sr: First Due Fire School! This school will take place March 20, 21, and 22 of 2020 in the Fredericksburg/ Spotsylvania community! Please save the dates as registration will open at noon on September 1, 2019!

This school will be 3 days of “firemen teaching firemen”! Friday is all lecture with Chief Nick Martin, Lieutenant Kiel Samsing, and Captain Jarrod Sergi dropping knowledge on aggressive command and engine company operations! Meals will be provided for lunch and dinner Friday, and lunch on both days of H.O.T. Training. Saturday and Sunday will be all hands on, with some of the area’s best instructors in the fields they are teaching. We will have first due training in engine operations, truck operations, live fire stations, and much more!
