Add to your calendar and start gathering any items you might want to sell at the yard sale open to the public. We are seeking people to reserve sales stalls. We have some that are interior to the large green activity center and many more on the grounds. Space inside the building is limited but outside is almost limitless although you need to bring your own table and shelter. First come and first served. We had a honey harvest in July that will be hard to beat in the future with 359 pounds of honey! We filled over 400 honey bears with plenty still available. Please contact Bryce at [email protected] to arrange buying some of the best local honey around. We’ll have a table at the upcoming Dog Mart where you can purchase a honey bear for a $10 donation.

The IWLA beekeepers are also on site at the apiary most Sundays at 3 pm. All proceeds from our honey bears goes back to IWLA apiary. 🐝💜🍯

Turning 30 is kind of a big deal. Turning FOUR HUNDRED and 30? Now THAT'S something to celebrate. Wherever you are today, please take a moment to be wildly festive in honor of the original Izaak Walton's birth on this date in 1593. A guy like this deserves a totally memorable party for his special occasion.

The Izaak Walton League of America, Inc wrapped up its annual convention last week. The Fredericksburg-Rappahannock Chapter is proud to announce that our chapter president, Herbert Pritchett, Sr., of Fredericksburg VA has been elected as the vice president of the national chapter of IWLA, Inc. Pictured here is a photo of the installation of the officers' ceremony conducted at the convention. The Frederickssburg-Rappahannock Chapter of the Izaak Walton League is accepting applications for new individual and family memberships. Do you know where the Fredericksburg-Rappahannock Chapter of the Izaak Walton League is located in Spotsylvania (12400 Herndon Road)? Would you like to come to an open house yard sale? We are holding a community yard sale at the chapter grounds on Saturday, May 13th from 8 am to 3 pm. Although it's a month away, we are planning to ensure we have a great event. The chapter will be open to the public on that day so you are invited to come and attend the yard sale. Even better, you are invited to actually purchase a space and participate in the sale of your items of value. Your first step is to let us know that you are planning to bring your treasures to the yard sale.
Are you spring cleaning and decluttering your home? Don’t know what to do with the treasures you’ve decided you no longer need? Want to make a few extra dollars so you can invest in more stuff? Want to help us fund our projects at the chapter? We want to hear from you!
Inside our brand-new spacious activity center, we will assign you a 10-foot x 10-foot space for $20 (you supply the table if needed) or a chapter-supplied table for $25. We will also have 10-foot x10-foot spaces on the outside grounds. You will need to provide your own tables and tent if you desire (with tie-downs) for any of the outside spaces. We will have 19 spaces inside the activity center and unlimited spaces on the outside grounds. All spaces will be reserved on a first-come-first-served basis. Some spaces have already been assigned to IWLA chapter members but we have space available. Reserve your space by May 10th by downloading and completing the application you will find at this yard sale application link located below.
