The Scouts braved extreme humidity and made the most of their campout with a little bit of everything—stargazing under the night sky, fishing, swimming, and exploring history at Appomattox Court House National Park. 🇺🇸

This week Troop 21 celebrated an amazing evening of hard work, dedication, and achievement!

⭐ 116 Merit Badges earned
🏅 9 Rank Advancements, including 2 Eagle Scouts 🦅
🎖️ 20 BSA Scouting Awards
🏆 8 BSA Challenge Awards

So much time, effort, learning, and growth went into these accomplishments. We are incredibly proud of every Scout and all they have achieved! A huge congratulations to our two newest Eagle Scouts and to every Scout who reached a new milestone. 🦅👏

Thank you to the leaders, volunteers, families, and fellow Scouts who continue to support and encourage these young men along the way. The future is bright! 🇺🇸💙

Cody and Dad spent some time working together to build this Scout patch frame, creating a special place to display patches collected from all the troop events, adventures, and experiences along the way.

Scout camp has come to an end, but the memories will last a lifetime. Friendships were built, new skills were learned, and plenty of late night laughs were shared along the way. Thank you, Cherokee Scout Reservation, for giving our scouts a summer of a lifetime. 🏕️✨

Now it’s back home—clothes are washed, long showers were taken, beds are extra cozy, and hearts are full. Until next year, camp! 🏕️✨

Halfway through Scout Camp and this crew isn’t slowing down! 💪🏕️

Our troop has been hard at work learning new skills—from welding and pottery to wilderness survival and first aid. They’re challenging themselves, trying new things, and gaining confidence every day.

And when the sun goes down, the fun keeps going with evening activities like gaga ball and gaming! 🎮🔥

So proud of all they’re accomplishing this week—can’t wait to see what the second half of camp brings! 🙌

At last weeks meeting, the Troop continued our “Learn Together, Earn Together” initiative where the boys started covering the Traffic Safety merit badge. This is one of 5 badges that are going to be covered that highlight everyday life skills and safety that will help guide the Scouts through life as they get older. We thought this one was especially important as we have a few that are/are approaching the coveted ability to drive. During the meeting the Scouts learned about various traffic laws, safety regulations, safety features of vehicles and other topics relating to the rules of the road.

Last week, the Troop worked in conjunction with our chartered organization Fredericksburg-Rappahannock Chapter of the Izaak Walton League of America on a project to construct bluebird houses. The scouts not only helped build the birdhouses, but the rep from our CO provided them with an in depth education on the birds, their habitats, and other topics that affect their livelihoods.

Troop 21 is proud to announce that one of our Scouts, James, has successfully passed is his Eagle Scout rank board of review. James has committed countless hours, days and weekends to not only his success in Scouting, but to the Troop as well. We look forward to seeing James continue to grow in Scouting as well as his personal life. He plans to use the knowledge, skills and abilities he has learned through Scouts to drive his success with a career in the railroad industry in the future. Maybe we will all be traveling in or on one of his future accomplishments one day!!
