#1 - The December regular school board meeting is tomorrow night. Meeting starts at 5:30 and is open to the public but true public part will start a 7:00 with recognitions and instructional highlights followed by public comments.

#2 - Following public comment is the consent agenda items, which includes the long awaited final approval for the update to Regulation IIA-R "Selection and Review of Instructional and Library Materials". For your benefit, this instruction is included below and includes a very detailed update to the the instructional material and library material challenge process.

Please read through this and, if you have any comments about it, please plan to attend the meeting tomorrow night by 7 PM so you can voice your thoughts to the board before it is voted on.

Your participation at meetings is crucial they need to see that the community cares and that we are paying attention!

At the November 18, 2024, School Board Work Session, the School Board selected calendar Options A & C to receive community feedback on preference. **This year's Trunk-N-Treat event is for Spotsylvania County residents and their families only. We appreciate everyone who has come from other counties and states in past years, however, due to the incredibly long lines at prior events and resources this event requires, we are limiting it to our county’s residents and their families in order to best serve our community. If you are from another jurisdiction, please reach out to your local government or churches to find similar events in your area that you can attend.**

When youve realized - yet AGAIN, the chaos creators have been allowed to hijack our school board meeting for 2 hours, then they leave (thank GAWD!) Creating room for real leadership to do the work, the business of our schools for the kids - now the good workers push through til 11.40PM (6 HOURS) to finish AND have to get up and be at work the next morning WHILE the chaos creators are home and can sleep in bc they don't have jobs or any good purpose but to destroy our community.
The sane public has to speak up against this! Wanna be social media pundits have to stop supporting this - there is no balance there are bad/evil/nasty liars who care not for kids. Hold them accountable or they will be empowered.

And if you are offended by being called a nasty liar - you are the chaos creator, you are our community's problem.

Join the Spotsylvania Sheriff's Office Crime Prevention Unit on Tuesday, October 15th at 6PM in the Spotsylvania Sheriff's Office Substation (137 Spotsylvania Mall Dr.) for Hidden in Plain Sight! Hidden in Plain Sight is a program that aims to bring awareness to parents, guardians, and other adults about signs of drug use and other risky teen behaviors. We will show you common hiding spots and give you the opportunity to “snoop” in a mock youth bedroom.
