Washington State Fallen Heroes Project

Washington State Fallen Heroes Project Our Mission: Honor and Remember fallen military heroes from WA and N Idaho, support the families left behind, engage communities in doing both.

Heroes aren't forgotten until their names are no longer spoken, and that won't happen on our watch. The FHP creates large banners of post 9/11 Fallen Heroes that are carried in parades and posted at events throughout the northwest. To request one for your Hero, please visit http://www.marchforthefallen.com/we-remember.html. The Project also invites you to visit Illuminating Courage, a post 9/11 Fa

llen Heroes Memorial located at 720 W Mallon Ave, Spokane. The names of PNW Fallen Heroes are engraved inside, and pavers are available for purchase to honor a friend or loved one who has served. More info at www.IlluminatingCourage.org. March for the Fallen is held each September in Spokane. It's a 5, 10 or 15k event that honors our Fallen Heroes and encourages the community to come and see the names and faces of those who raised their hand to serve, and remember the sacrifice that's sometimes asked. May they be forever remembered and may we always be forever grateful!

If you haven't been to NorthTown Mall lately, it's worth the trip! There are some fun new shops, a huge furniture store, and a beautiful Fallen Heroes display, front and center. 🇺🇸 Our Hero Boot kiosks are on the ground floor now, at the first intersection from the Mustard Seed entrance. Post-9/11 and Vietnam Heroes who died in the month of June are ready to be honored and remembered. 🇺🇸

We've gathered up so many pictures to share and have so many thanks to give for Boots on the Ground over Memorial Day weekend.

Close to 700 Hero Boots of both post-9/11 and Vietnam Fallen were on display, and we have a small but mighty volunteer team who made it all happen (and unhappen!). Thank you!!!

We also want to thank the Numerica Veterans Arena for hosting us, the Combat Vet Riders for their support with a respectful flag changing, overnight security, and a Monday salute, 348 Golden Angels - Mango the Therapy Dog and Sadie for the ever-ready therapy, Girl Scouts Eastern Washington & Northern Idaho for providing cookies for all of the veterans who came, Kenyon Fields for the bagpipes, photographers Kevin Watt, Melaine Williams with , and Inland Northwest Honor Flight photographer Ron Burdick, as well as Cascadia Screen Printing and Sir Speedy Signs, Print, Marketing.

We're especially grateful for the support of this community, honoring Memorial Day with your presence. We were blessed by the stories you shared, the time you took to come, and the honor and remembrance you gave to those we miss so much.
Thank you so much.❤️
