Flower the People here- more specifically my name is Danielle and I am a volunteer assistant organizer with FTP!

I wanted to take this first post as an opportunity to share some information about the organization!

About:

Flower the People started in the winter of 2022 when Trevor Phillips realized the dumpster outside of a wholesale florist was overflowing with flowers. Along with his neighbor, he had the bright idea to take them to a nursing home, where they distributed them to the patients. The florist, after hearing about what he was doing, offered to call him whenever they were cleaning out their cooler. Flower the People now serves over forty nursing homes in three different cities, made possible by a group of generous volunteers and florists.
