We meet the second and forth Tuesdays each month at 12:00 pm for lunch at Perkins Restaurant the corner of Division and Spokane Falls Blvd Our Club was organized as the Spokane Kiwanis Club with 84 members on August 1, 1920 and at the time Kiwanis International had 287 chartered clubs. The club was chartered on December 9, 1920 and was the 10th club to be chartered in the Pacific Northwest Distric
t, and the first east of the Cascades. As one of many Kiwanis Clubs in the Pacific Northwest District of Kiwanis International, the Kiwanis Club of Downtown Spokane strive to help the children and youth of our community to better themselves so they can grow and become a good citizen and asset to themselves, their families, and our community. We meet the second and forth Tuesday each month at Perkins Restaurant, Division and Spokane Falls Blvd. Please come and join us for our next meeting which usually includes a guest speaker from our community to give us insights into the many working of government, services and businesses in our community. Kiwanis clubs, located in 80 nations, help their communities in countless ways. Each community’s needs are different—so each Kiwanis club is different. By working together, members achieve what one person cannot accomplish alone. When you give a child the chance to learn, experience, dream, grow, succeed and thrive, great things happen. Service is at the heart of every Kiwanis club, no matter where in the world it’s located. Members stage nearly 150,000 service projects and raise nearly US $100 million every year for communities, families and projects.
