Summer break is just around the corner. Here's some wonderful ideas for students. Check it out 😎🌞

SUMMER FUN: With summer break just a few weeks away, we know that many families are thinking about what they can do to keep from hearing “I’m bored!” for nine weeks.

Spokane Public Schools offers several day camp, athletics, and learning experiences for students, and partners with organizations like SYSA-Spokane Youth Sports Association to create even more opportunities for students to get active.

A fun, hands-on event for the whole family

FUTURE DAY: What’s it like to be a scientist? A musician? A firefighter?

The whole family is invited to KSPS PBS Future Day, a free, hands-on event designed to spark children’s curiosity about trades and careers.

On Saturday, February 21 from 10 AM to 2 PM at Spokane Community College Lair Student Center (1810 N Greene St.), children can explore dozens of interactive stations led by local colleges, businesses, makers, and community groups. Try mini engineering challenges, demos, art and maker activities, and more!

COFFEE WITH SPS: All community members are invited to join Spokane Public Schools leaders for conversation over coffee each month at a different school.

Our next event is at Frances Scott Elementary School on Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2026, at 8 a.m. Please bring questions, share feedback and learn more about opportunities for students. Check in at the school’s office and follow the signs to the event.
