Standing Together. Rebuilding Together. 🌲❤️

Our hearts are heavy as we witness the devastating impact of the Spokane Complex Fire. To our neighbors, partners, first responders, and every family facing loss, displacement, or uncertainty: you are not alone.

For more than 50 years, Career Path Services has served communities across Washington. While the immediate impact is being felt most deeply in the Spokane region, we know the strength of our organization and our state is found in how we show up for one another.

As communities begin the long road from emergency response to recovery, we remain committed to standing alongside the people we serve, our partners, and our fellow Washingtonians.

To the firefighters, emergency responders, volunteers, and neighbors opening their hearts, homes, and businesses to help others: thank you. Your compassion reminds us that even in difficult moments, community is stronger than crisis.

Below are links to local support. If your organization is providing verified resources, volunteer opportunities, donation drives, or other ways to support those affected, please share them in the comments so our community can learn from and support one another.

We're grateful to The Home Depot Foundation for awarding Career Path Services a $10,000 Path to Pro grant in support of Dignified Workday.

This investment reflects a shared belief that meaningful work creates opportunity, stability, and stronger communities. Through Dignified Workday, participants gain paid work experience, personalized coaching, and pathways toward long-term careers, including opportunities in the skilled trades.

We're excited to partner with The Home Depot Foundation and look forward to sharing how this investment helps open new doors for the people and communities we serve.

It starts with a simple question: What happens when someone is given a chance instead of a label?

Every day at Dignified Workday, we get to watch the answer unfold.

A crew shows up. Work gets done. A paycheck is earned. Confidence begins to return. What looks like a job on the surface is often the first step toward something much bigger: stability, belonging, and hope.

We're incredibly grateful to Foundation for investing $12,000 in Dignified Workday. Their partnership helps create more opportunities for people to rebuild their lives through meaningful work while strengthening the communities we all share.

This work has never belonged to one organization. It belongs to a community that believes in second chances and the potential of every person.

As communities across the country mark 250 years of our nation's history, we're reflecting on the people who continue to shape what's next.

Strong communities are built when everyone has the opportunity to contribute, belong, and build a future with dignity.

At Career Path Services, that belief guides our work every day. Whether we're supporting job seekers, partnering with employers, or serving alongside our communities, we know opportunity grows when we create it together.

Today, we're grateful for the people who make that possible: our staff, participants, employers, partners, and neighbors.

Wishing everyone a safe, meaningful, and joyful Independence Day.

Huge thank you to The Dave and Molly Show for inviting Career Path Services and Dignified Workday (DWD) to be the featured nonprofit at this year’s golf tournament at The Coeur d'Alene Golf & Spa Resort.

Because of you — the sponsors, golfers, donors, and community supporters — proceeds from the event are going directly toward helping DWD participants access work opportunities, transportation, essential needs, and pathways to stable housing.

Last week, Andy Dwonch, co-founder of Dignified Workday, joined the Molly & Dave Show to talk about what it really means to create access to work, right now, for people who need it most. This conversation gets at the heart of what we believe: work builds momentum, restores confidence, and opens doors, and Dignified Workday is doing it daily, right here in Spokane, WA (starting at 3:16:50 in the episode).

We’re honored to be the featured nonprofit at the Molly & Dave Show Golf Tournament on May 12 at Coeur d’Alene Resort Golf Course.

If you’re joining us, come find us on the course!

Last week was amazing, and we are still processing it in all the best ways.

There’s something about opening your doors and not knowing who will walk through them, and then watching your community show up in a way that fills the room.

To our partners, supporters, neighbors, board members, and both former and current team members… thank you. You are part of this story, whether you were in the room or helped build what made it possible.

If you were not able to attend but you’d like a tour of our new building at Collin’s or around our Dignified Workday shop, please reach out! Connect with us here:

Gratitude goes a long way… and sometimes it looks like lunch.

We want to thank ICCU for showing up for our Dignified Workday crews in such a meaningful (and delicious) way.

On any given day, our crews are out doing the kind of work that keeps communities moving, often early mornings, long physically demanding hours, and a whole lot of heart behind it. Taking a moment to pause, share a meal, and feel seen matters more than we can always put into words and is a big part of our culture at Career Path Services and Dignified Workday.

What we appreciate most is what sits underneath gestures like this. A shared belief that people matter. That work matters. That when we invest in people, we strengthen communities.

That’s the kind of partnership that sticks.

Because of moments like this, it’s easy to believe that something we’re both working toward, life really is greener here.
