Sometimes a second chance begins with refusing to give up. 💙

Patricia remembers a time when it felt like every door was closed. She had no resources, nowhere to turn, and despite asking for help, she was repeatedly turned away. But she kept going.

When Patricia connected with Goodwill's Housing and Essential Needs (HEN) program, she committed herself to making a change. Working closely with her case manager, she stayed engaged every step of the way. Her hard work paid off. Patricia found housing, built stability, and created a new foundation for her future.

Good morning. The City of Spokane has begun construction work on 3rd Avenue.

As construction progresses, the crosswalk configuration near the Administration Building has been modified, and portions of the surrounding sidewalks may be closed or removed. These changes may affect the usual routes used to access the building and surrounding area.

We encourage all team members, visitors, and community members to stay alert and use extra caution when traveling to:

Goodwill's Downtown Spokane Administration Building (130 E. Third)
Goodwill's Downtown Spokane Retail Store (202 E. Third)

Please follow posted signage, use designated pedestrian routes, and allow extra time when visiting the area.

When life changed overnight, Erik refused to give up. 💙⁠

After serious health issues left him hospitalized and unable to work, Erik faced challenges he never expected. He lost much of his physical ability, struggled with daily tasks, and found himself disconnected from his family.⁠

With support from Goodwill’s Foundational Community Supports program, Erik focused on what he could control. Today, Erik is working part-time, spending time with his family, and creating a future filled with hope and purpose.⁠
