Kesem at Whitworth University Kesem is a nationwide community, led by passionate college student leaders, that supports children through and beyond their parent’s cancer.

Kesem is a diverse community led by passionate and empathetic college students working to ensure that children facing the challenges of a parent’s cancer have space, connection, and support to rediscover the joys of childhood. Our mission is to support children through and beyond their parent’s cancer with free, fun-filled creative programs and a lasting community. Camp Kesem at Whitworth Universi

ty was founded in 2021 and supports children in the Spokane community by providing Camp Kesem, a free week-long summer camp experience, and year-round Through and Beyond support services. Our chapter is operated by 30 student volunteers and serves 30 campers ages 6-18 per year. Kesem operates at more than 130 chapters coast-to-coast. Its programs and services are all funded by generous donations from individuals, foundations, and corporate partners. Kesem is a federally registered 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization.

Thanks to the generosity of all of our amazing guests, volunteers, and sponsors, we raised over $16,000 for Kesem! This incredible support will allow us to continue to bring the love and joy to those who have been impacted and touched by a parent’s cancer. ✨

Every dollar, every moment, and every person who came together has made such an amazing and lasting impact. You all have helped us create a space where these kids can be kids, surrounded by love and magic. We are beyond grateful for each and every one of you who helped make this event a success. 💙💚✨
