Friends of Ferris was founded in the Fall, 2006, in response to Ferris High School seeking funds to support its various extra-curricular activities. Many programs were (and continue to be) at risk of being dropped due to lack of funding from District 81 and the State. We believe that the existence of a variety of programs, athletic and otherwise, enhance and enrich the educational experience of students at Ferris High School.

Friends of Ferris is organized under the laws of the State of Washington and operates as a tax-exempt entity under Internal Revenue Code §501(c)(3). Friends of Ferris is also registered with the Secretary of State pursuant to Washington’s Charitable Solicitations Act.

Friend of Ferris exists to raise money to support all activities at Ferris High School. As a tax-exempt entity, your donation may be tax-deductible. Donations may be made by sending a check to:

Friends of Ferris established a policy whereby it will accept donations that are either “unrestricted,” so that they may be used as the Board determines, or “restricted” for a specific purpose or to support a program favored by the donor. However, three percent (3%) of a restricted gift will be allocated to the general fund pursuant to our gift acceptance policy.
