Every Woman Can

Every Woman Can Every Woman Can is on a mission to save lives with Awareness, Advocacy, Wellness and Education. We began in 2017 with a mission to be at the heart of the fight.

Every Woman Can raises funds for mammograms and Every Woman Can LOVE totes throughout the Pacific Northwest. Our organization is committed to saving lives through early detection, advocacy and awareness with a focus on wellness and education. We help our mothers, sisters, aunts, grandmothers until breast cancer, and women's cancers in general, don't affect one more person. Right now in our communi

ty there are women who can't get care simply because they cannot afford it. That's not acceptable -- and it's happening on our watch. One hundred percent of donations stay local and get reinvested into our region to provide mammograms, awareness, education and hope for the future. Everyone knows someone impacted by breast cancer. Make a difference today and let our region know .

In the United States, one in eight (1 in 8) women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime. Mammography remains the gold standard screening technique and offers an effective means to detect breast cancer early. The earlier female breast cancer is caught, the better chance a person has of surviving five years after being diagnosed. "89.7 percent of women diagnosed with breast cancer are still alive five years later. In total, about 83 percent survive breast cancer, and eventually die of something else. If the cancer hasn’t spread outside the breast, a whopping 98.8 percent of women survive at least five years." (National Cancer Institute, SEER, 2006 - 2012)

Thank You for letting us be part of Scottie’s legacy of love and change! Tonight’s dollars will go directly to Because There Is Hope for gas cards and for providing safe haven for those who have to travel for treatment. Breast cancer affects 1 in 8 of those of us assigned female at birth. Mammograms save lives and we continue to work for access and equity so that Every Woman Can get screened. Thank you! πŸ’—πŸ’•πŸ’–πŸ’“

We’re tending candles tonight for our (virtual) online NYE Vigil. We honor those who have been just diagnosed, who are in treatment, the survivors, metavivers, and warriors, their loved ones and their care teams. We also remember those who live on in our memories.

(You can see the 2023 Wall on our website at www.EveryWomanCan.org). You’re welcome to leave names and shout outs below for anyone you’d like to honor/remember specially.

On behalf of our Board, our Run Crew, and our volunteers, we’re honored to serve our community and thank you for sharing your stories and loved ones with us πŸ’—

Brightest Blessings + Happy New Year πŸ™πŸ½
