Our Story

Crescendo, formerly known as Kinderchor of Spokane Youth Choruses, is a Children’s Choral program that was established to create an opportunity for children to access a quality choral experience regardless of economic circumstance. A special focus is placed on the development of musical skills as well as commitment to group process. Through rehearsal and performance, each singer will be able to gain accomplishment by growing in musical understanding and in sharing that knowledge. In so doing, the child will have an opportunity to build his/her self esteem. Special effort is made to perform and socialize with other children’s choruses within the Inland Northwest. In this opportunity, they are able to share and learn from other quality programs in our region. In the future, it would be a goal to take these singers to other cities that have children’s choirs, giving them an opportunity to share their music with those singers, and to be ambassadors of the Spokane arts community within the region.
