It is based on both his spiritual-scientific research as well as from creating a school for children in post World War I Germany. His philosophy sought to recognize the spirit, soul and body of each person, also sometimes referred to as “heart, head, hands” in Waldorf Education. ghout a child’s entire schooling and that any educational institution should be teacher-led. Today, there are more than 900 Waldorf Schools in 83 countries and it is the fastest growing independent educational movement in the world. We strive to create a similar vision forWindsong School. Throughout the day, we will nourish your child’s heart, head and hands through activities ranging from story-telling, imaginative free play, practical arts and time spent in nature. This is done individually by each teacher as they develop daily, weekly and seasonal rhythms for each classroom and then tailor each day’s events to the needs of each group. Additionally, we seek to develop a community where parents can gather daily to support each other in mindfully raising children as well as provide opportunities for participation in seasonal celebrations and festivals and continued education regarding Waldorf and Anthroposophy.
