Introducing our inaugural Open Water choreographer: Emily Davis!

We're thrilled to announce Emily Davis as the inaugural Open Water choreographer, bringing her work to the Rising Tide stage this season.

Emily earned her BA in Dance Pedagogy at BYU-Idaho, where she performed with and choreographed for the collegiate dance team. She currently choreographs seasonally for Ferris High School's Theater program and has performed previously with Kindling Productions. She's thrilled to be choreographing for Rising Tide and hopes to help others experience the joy of dance!

A rising tide lifts all ships — Open Water is how we start.

Season four Rising Tide Auditions will be held on Sunday, September 13th, 4:00-6:00 pm in the Recital Hall at the Myrtle Woldson Performing Arts Center.

Join us for FREE adult dance classes at the end of July! Sign up at the link in our bio.

Our Open Water Choreographer Call finalists will each be teaching a class, and we are looking for 5-8 dancers per class. Dance for 75 minutes, then spend 15 minutes sharing your experience. Registration confirmation will be sent on Monday, July 27th.

We are thrilled to announce our 2026-2027 Season! We have been working hard to create a variety of performance opportunities and chances to dance in our community. This year, we are hosting TWO 12 Minute Max experiences for local artists to present their work, and we are returning to the Myrtle Woldson Performing Arts Center for our fourth season of Rising Tide!

Over the next month, we will share details on each show, including how YOU can get involved!

We are so excited to officially announce Sarah Glesk as resident choreographer for Kindling Productions!

Sarah has been with us since the very first Rising Tide at the Bing Crosby Theater and has choreographing for every Rising Tide and every Ghostlight since. Her work has continued to surprise and delight us. Each piece is uniquely its own, and unmistakably Sarah.

A Gonzaga faculty member since 2013 and a Cornish BFA alum, Sarah brings a deep performance lineage, including performing works by Mark Morris Dance Group, Alloy Dance Project, Zoe Scofield & Juniper Shuey, Martha Graham, and a full artistic life in this city. We couldn't imagine season 4 without her!

Calling All Choreographers — something new is coming to Rising Tide!

For Season 4, Kindling Productions is opening one choreographic slot in the Rising Tide lineup through an open community call. We're calling it Open Water: a platform built specifically for emerging choreographers in the Inland Northwest who haven't yet had access to professional presenting opportunities in this region.

The selected choreographer will create a new work that premieres on the mainstage at the Myrtle Woldson Performing Arts Center in February 2027, receive a choreographic stipend, and have one-on-one artistic mentorship throughout the entire process, from early concept development all the way to the stage.

Kindling Productions is entering a new chapter. My co-founder, Monica Mota, has decided to step away, and I am now leading Kindling Productions as the sole director. I am so grateful to Monica for everything we've built together and for this community. More to come. Stay close.
