Rooming rates for our 2027 PNW AAR Conference at University of Victoria May 14 & 15 as as follows, with descriptions below. All rates are in Canadian. We encourage you to post if you are coming and what you are looking for -- if looking to rideshare or be part of a larger rooming arrangement -- so possible conference mates can find each other.
Below are group rates for rooms. (We need confirmation of 10 rooms being booked before these group rates will apply, so please indicate if you have intent to attend, it will help us confirm.) Rates are in CAD and subject to change. Registration links will be posted to the website by fall 2027.

Accommodation Descriptions:
Single Dorm Rooms: This room type can accommodate one individual per room. These rooms feature one bed, one desk and chair and one wardrobe, with shared washroom facilities located down the hall. Bed heights vary between buildings and can measure from 20 inches to 32 inches from the floor to the top of the mattress.
Double Dorm Rooms: This room type can accommodate two individuals per room. These rooms include two beds, two desks and chairs, two wardrobes, with shared washroom facilities down the hall. Double dorms are available in limited buildings and are in shorter supply this year due to reduced building availability for guest placement. Bed heights vary between buildings and can measure from 27 inches to 32 inches from the floor to the top of the mattress.
Cluster units: This room type can accommodate four individuals per unit. Each cluster unit includes four lockable bedrooms, each containing one single bed, one desk and chair and one wardrobe per room. A kitchen including cookware and dishes, a dining area and living room area. Two bathrooms each containing one sink and one toilet, plus one shower room. Bed heights measure either 25 or 32 inches from the floor to the top of the mattress.
Apartments: This room type can accommodate two individuals per unit, each in their own bedroom. Each apartment unit includes two lockable bedrooms, each containing one single bed, one desk and chair and one wardrobe per room. A kitchen including cookware and dishes, a dining area and living room area. Two bathrooms each containing one sink and one toilet, plus one shower room. This is a variable offering and may change in 2027. Availability is limited. Bed heights measure 25 or 32 inches from the floor to the top of the mattress.
Guest Rooms: This room type can accommodate one individual per room. These rooms include a single bed, one desk and chair, one wardrobe and a private washroom. They are larger than standard dorm rooms and come with in-room coffee and tea. Availability is very limited. Please note that our guest rooms are located on either the ground floor or basement level of the buildings. Room layouts and features vary; some rooms may have lower ceiling heights in certain areas or different window sizes compared to others. Bed heights vary and can measure up to 32 inches from the floor to the top of the mattress.
