🏆 Shoutout to Our Division Level Competitors! 🏆
On March 14th, 2026, two of our very own Spokane Falls Toastmasters took the stage at the District 2 Division Level competition — and they brought their absolute best!
🎤 International Speech Competition:
✨ Corinna Verdugo returned with her powerful and thought-provoking speech, "Into the Crucible," challenging all of us to reflect on our ability to push through life's toughest moments and come out stronger on the other side. Competing at this level takes incredible courage and skill — and Corinna delivered beautifully, earning the 🥈 SECOND PLACE trophy! And the excitement doesn't stop there — her finish means she will represent us as a runner-up at the upcoming District Level competition in May!
😄 Humorous Speech Competition:
✨ James Youssef once again had the audience in stitches with "Culture Shock: A Year in Germany as an Exchange Student," bringing warmth and laughter as he shared the memorable and hilarious moments with his host family during his time abroad as a young man. Competing at the Division level is no small feat, and James rose to the occasion with charm and humor that kept the crowd thoroughly entertained.
What an exciting day it was watching our members go toe-to-toe with some outstanding competition! Corinna and James — you represented the Spokane Falls Toastmasters Club with excellence, passion, and heart. We are so incredibly proud of both of you!
