Happy Juneteenth!
Today we honor Juneteenth—the day news of emancipation finally reached enslaved people in Texas, more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation. Juneteenth is a celebration of Black freedom, resilience, culture, and community, while also reminding us that the work of building justice and liberation continues.
If you’re celebrating in Spokane today, stop by and see us! ✊🏾❤️💚🖤 We’ll be tabling at the Juneteenth Celebration at Riverfront Park’s North Bank from 12–4 PM. Come say hello, learn more about our work, and connect with community as we celebrate this important day together.
