Recently, Senior Director Brandy Gerdes-Schutz and Area Manager Tara Harkness had the pleasure of attending Clark County's 2026 Employment Awards in celebration of National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM)! 🤝

It was a wonderful evening celebrating the achievements of individuals with disabilities, recognizing employers who champion inclusive workplaces, and connecting with community partners who share our commitment to meaningful employment opportunities for all.

📣In honor of National Case Management Week, we’re excited to recognize Leigh Lindstrom, one of our incredible Housing Case Managers supporting the GOSH program at Compass Career Solutions!

📣Dungarvin and Compass Career Solutions are so proud to have had Sydney Krebsbach represent us last week in Washington, D.C. as an ANCOR DSP Ambassador!

For three days, she gathered with Dungarvin leaders and fellow direct support colleagues to speak with legislators during ANCOR’s Policy Summit & Hill Days, Sept. 14-16.

ANCOR launched the Ambassador program last year to encourage DSPs (and other direct support professionals) to “speak up, speak out and tell their stories about the vital role they play in the communities they serve. Compass’ Senior Director Brandy Gerdes-Schutz praised Sydney for “…learning, connecting, and gaining new perspectives to advocate for the direct support industry and bring back that knowledge to her work, our team, and the people we support.”

We had so much fun at the 2026 ANCOR American Network of Community Options and Resources Connect Conference in Boston, that we wanted to share more highlights with you! Jen Elleraas, Minnesota Senior Director said it best when speaking about one of our award-winning DSPs doing something for someone on a rare day off from work:

“Brenda came up to me and said, ‘the tour of Boston was fun, but I was really hoping to talk to a vendor to find some glasses for an individual I support, they need some help focusing on what they’re seeing.’ If that is not the true heart of a DSP, I don’t know what else is: that even during a day that celebrates her, she’s always thinking of the people she supports.”

This video is a celebration of Dungarvin’s DSPs. We hope it brings a smile to your face and paints a picture of these 6 incredible professionals at the top of their game – and being recognized for it by their industry!

👋Everyone, please say hi to Brian!

He first connected with employment services in 1995-1996 after being referred by a family member when he needed employment support. Since then, he has built a strong and steady career with the help of individualized services tailored to his needs.

Through Compass, Brian worked in retail and with the railroad transporting conductors between Spokane and Whitefish Montana. Over the years he has developed valuable skills, confidence, and long-term job stability.

In Brian's words, "Compass truly understands what I need. They’ve always been there for me-even during tough times.”

We’re proud to walk alongside individuals like Brian as the build meaningful careers and lasting success.
