Special Kids of Spokane was created in May of 2019 to help families of special needs children feel a little less isolated and more supported. Being a parent of a special needs child can feel isolating and resources can seem limited. When you are able to connect with a group of families that are walking in the same shoes as you, our hope is you feel less isolated and begin to feel like you’re not alone in this journey. We are more than an online support group. As a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, SKS hosts free quarterly parent support events covering topics relevant to being a caregiver for a special needs person and we invite speakers from businesses & organizations around the Spokane area that provide services and support to special needs families to attend.
