Some people don’t just live in a community—they carry it. They build a foundation, hold it up, and make sure everyone else has a safe space to create, grow, and belong.

The absolute heart and soul of Big Feelings was born 40 years ago, today. Happy Birthday to our President, our leader, and our dear friend, Solomon Steiner.

If you’ve ever attended Screaming Brain or been to a metal show in the Spokane area, you have felt Solomon’s impact. He is the invisible, (but never inaudible 😂 ) force pulling all of the pieces together. He pours endless hours, energy, and love into this non-profit to make the impossible happen like it’s a regular Tuesday.

Solomon has spent over half of his life in the music industry. He is a brilliant multi-instrumentalist and vocalist. He knows the grueling and explosive ups and downs of being an artist firsthand. He doesn’t just talk about supporting creators… he lives it. He buys the art, he books the shows, he coordinates the logistics, and ultimately co-founded a non-profit specifically to give artists a platform.

His generosity doesn’t stop at his time.

Through his company, Complete Home Solutions, Solomon and his brother Joel step up as presenting sponsors for Screaming Brain and massive financial anchors for Big Feelings. He pours his own resources right back into the people, asking for nothing in return except to see our community thrive. (Did we mention Screaming Brain is a free event?)

Solomon is, in the truest sense, a “for the people, by the people” human being. He stands right beside everyone, lifting them up. The amount of love, sweat, and tears he invests into this community is insurmountable. We want to make sure he feels even a tiny amount of that love reflected back at him.
