📚 SCHOOL IS STARTING! 🐾

And that means it’s time to get our Bulldog family involved! 💙

At conferences, teachers will have a quick form for families to share their contact information if you’d like to help out with PTO in ANY capacity.

You don’t have to have a lot of time — every bit helps! 🙌

✨ Ways you can help:
• Run an occasional errand
• Put things together at home
• Help at an event
• Take on a PTO chair role
• Help with social media 📱
• Help coordinate volunteers 🤝
• Shadow a current position and learn the ropes for next year!

We are especially looking for someone to help with Social Media and a Volunteer Coordinator, but there is a place for everyone!

READY TO RUN: Spokane Public Schools is proud to partner with Active4Youth to offer no-cost Elementary Cross Country for K-5 students this fall.

Practices begin the week of Aug. 31 at schools with regional meets in September and October. The season concludes with an All City Meet at Franklin Park on Tuesday, Oct. 13.

Looking forward to seeing our Balboa Community tonight from 5-7pm! We will be serving up pizza from Pizza Rita, Ben and Jerry’s icecream, and we will have free Italian sodas thanks to Danielle | DIY + DESIGN . She also has some really fun characters joining her! Our hearts are with every family impacted by the devastating wildfire. So many in our school community have lost their homes or remain evacuated, and we know this has been an incredibly difficult time.

As a Balboa Bulldog family, we want to come together to simply be together.

Join us for a casual evening to reconnect, support one another, let the kids play, and spend time with familiar faces.

Whether you’ve been directly impacted by the fire or simply want to be there for your neighbors, everyone in our Balboa community is welcome. Sometimes the best thing we can do is show up for each other.💙

Your Shadle Park Boosters want our entire Shadle Park High School community to know that we are here for you. Our hearts are heavy as we grieve alongside those who have lost homes, neighborhoods, treasured belongings, and countless memories due to this devastating fire.
To every student, family, staff member, alumnus, and neighbor impacted—we are thinking of you and standing with you.
Now, we need those who are in a position to help.
We are beginning to gather essential items to support families as they rebuild their lives. If you are able to donate, we are looking for:
💚 Clothing for all ages (newborn through adults)
💛 New, packaged socks and underwear
💚 Household essentials to help families restart when they have a place to call home
💛 Toys, books, stuffed animals, and comfort items for children
💚 New or gently used shoes (all sizes)
💛 Athletic gear, including football cleats, girdles, court shoes, and other equipment for fall sports
💚 Toiletries for men, women, teens, children, and babies

FREE DAY CAMP: Spokane Public school is offering a free emergency drop-in camp for children ages 4 and older on Monday, Aug. 3, 11 a.m.-3 p.m. at Shadle Park High School.

This is intended to give parents and caregivers impacted by wildfires a safe place for their children while they take a break, run errands, or address other immediate needs. Students do not need to be enrolled in Spokane Public Schools or live within SPS boundaries to attend.

Lunch will be provided at noon through the federal free summer meals program. Activities will be supervised by Spokane Public Schools staff. Please reach out at SpokaneSchools.org/Contact to connect with district support.
