Scarlett and Alfie's Little Rascals have arrived, and there's something rather wonderful about having a whole new little family beginning its story in the nursery. 🤍

Born September 23, these Habibis are expected to mature around 6–12 pounds.

For now, we're watching the simplest things. Little bodies growing stronger, tiny changes from one day to the next, and the beautiful rhythm of life with Mama.

Their individual personalities will take time to reveal themselves, and we wouldn't want it any other way.

There's a reason we let them be little first.

And we wouldn’t have it any other way.

We don’t raise Habibis hoping they’ll become little robots who simply wait for the next command.

We want curious minds. Confidence. Communication. Preferences. Playfulness. And yes, sometimes a little opinion. 🤭

Because personality isn’t something to train out of a dog. It’s something to understand.

The Habibi Method is about learning the dog in front of you, building trust, and creating a relationship where both sides get to communicate.

This one is purely for fun, because we know some of you have been waiting all year for an excuse to dress up your Habibi. 😂

We want to see your funniest, cutest, cleverest, most ridiculously adorable Halloween looks.

👻 How to enter: Dress up your Habibi, share a photo to your social media, and tag Habibi Bears so we can see your entry.

🏆 The winner receives a FREE Dog Body Language Guide, valued at $48.

Our guide is all about learning to notice the quieter ways our dogs communicate, from tails and ears to posture, expressions, calming signals, and those little clues we sometimes miss.

Halloween Without the Fright 🎃🐾

Halloween is great fun for us.

For our dogs? It can be a very strange evening.

The doorbell keeps ringing. Familiar faces suddenly appear in masks and costumes. Children are excited, doors are opening and closing, and there are tempting treats everywhere that definitely aren't meant for dogs.

Even the most confident dog can find all of this a little overwhelming.

So this Halloween, pay attention to what your dog is telling you.

They don't have to greet every visitor or join every festivity. Sometimes the kindest thing we can give them is a quiet place, something familiar, and permission to sit this one out. 🤍

Familiar Stories 🤍

She Just Fits

There was one little sentence in Susan's note to us that said so much:

“She matches our energy.”

And perhaps that's one of the loveliest things a family can discover about life with their Habibi.

Susan describes her girl as gentle, sweet, affectionate and playful. She'll happily play with her toys on her own or join the family when they're ready for fun. She loves meeting people and seems to carry that same gentle openness wherever she goes.

Recently, Susan took her to visit a memory care community. She isn't formally certified as a therapy dog, but Susan said she was wonderful with the residents. She's also discovered how naturally gentle she can be around small children.

These are the stories we love hearing because they're not really about accomplishments.

They're about fit.

A dog learning the rhythm of her people. A family discovering all the little ways she belongs there. And a relationship that keeps becoming richer with time.

There’s something lovely about this time of year in the nursery. 💞

Some little Habibis are getting closer to Homecoming. Others are still growing into themselves. And quietly, the next Fall and Winter stories are beginning to unfold. 🐾

If you’ve been wondering whether a Habibi might become part of your family this season, you don’t need to know who yet.

In fact, we’d rather you didn’t rush.

Watch. Learn. Notice the personalities emerging beneath those beautiful little faces. Think about the relationship you’re hoping to have, not simply the puppy you imagined choosing.

Because sometimes the one who becomes your Familiar isn’t the one you expected. 💫

They’re simply the one you keep coming back to. 🤍

Sometimes the quietest signals matter most.

A glimpse of the whites of the eyes, often called whale eye, can be one clue that a dog is feeling uncomfortable or needs a little space.

Look at the whole dog. Ears pulled back, a lowered tail, lip licking, yawning, avoiding eye contact, or a body that suddenly becomes tense can all be part of the conversation.

When we notice these quieter signals, our dogs don't have to communicate more loudly.

“You don't have to shout for me to listen.” 🤍
