There is something so special about receiving photos from our Habibi families and getting a little glimpse of the lives our puppies grow into.

This is Topaz from Garnet’s last litter, now Gemma, with her big sister Hazel on the left. Both Habibis, both very loved, and clearly living their best lives together. Aren’t they the sweetest pair?

Gemma has always had that wonderfully happy, affectionate personality, and seeing her now gives us such a beautiful glimpse of the same sweetness we’re watching emerge in Garnet’s current little ones.

In fact, if Gemma has stolen your heart, you might want to meet Sundance and Teton, two little black Habibis who remind us so much of her. Sweet little Afton is also part of this beautiful group.

These are the updates that melt Julie’s heart because this is what everything eventually becomes about. Not the puppy photograph or the day they leave our nursery, but the years of ordinary, wonderful family life that come afterward.

And just look at these two. We think they landed exactly where they belong. 🤍

Most puppy education begins after the puppy arrives. 🐾

We think that’s a little late.

Those first days at home are filled with change for everyone. Your puppy is learning a new environment, new people, new rhythms, new sounds, and an entirely new way of life. Meanwhile, the family is trying to remember everything they’ve ever learned about puppies while running on considerably less sleep.

That’s why preparation is such an important part of our Partnership Process.

Before their Habibi comes home, families can begin learning how we approach connection, settling, independence, enrichment, communication, and those everyday moments that build security.

You don’t need to know everything before Familiar Day.

You simply shouldn’t have to begin from zero. 💞

We’d much rather send a puppy home to a family already beginning to speak the same language. 🤍

The Habibi Method is built around relationship, communication, emotional security, confidence, and helping humans understand the dog in front of them. It begins while our puppies are still here with us and continues when a Habibi becomes part of a family.

It’s why we talk about the Familiar Bond so often.

We aren’t interested in creating dogs who simply know what to do when they’re told.

We want to help create relationships where human and dog learn how to understand one another.

That takes more than training.

Imagine arriving somewhere completely new where everyone expects you to understand the rules, but nobody speaks your language.

That’s a little like coming home as a puppy.

We often expect dogs to understand our homes, schedules, boundaries, emotions, routines, and expectations incredibly quickly. But understanding has to travel in both directions.

Familiar Day is incredibly exciting, but it isn’t the finish line. 💫📖

It’s the beginning.

Once your Habibi comes home, the relationship you’ve been preparing for suddenly becomes real. There are beautiful moments, funny moments, sleepy moments, and inevitably a few moments when you wonder whether you’re doing something right.

That’s why our current Partnership experience includes four weeks of homecoming coaching.

Rather than handing families a puppy and wishing them luck, we want to be there while those first rhythms are forming and the things you learned in preparation begin meeting real life.

And for families who want continued education beyond those first weeks, additional coaching, courses, and resources can be explored inside the Partnership Hub.

Because support shouldn’t disappear the moment your puppy walks through your front door. 🤍

Have you ever noticed a dog stop what they're doing just to check where you are? 🐾

It's one of those tiny behaviors that could easily go unnoticed. A glance across the room. Following you with their eyes. Wandering over for a moment before returning to play.

We see this often in our Habibis.

They're curious about the world, but they're also deeply aware of their people. Even in the middle of something exciting, there can be this little moment of connection, almost as if they're making sure all is well before carrying on.

It's one of the qualities we pay attention to as personalities begin to emerge because connection doesn't always look like a puppy sitting in your lap.

Sometimes it's much quieter.

A look that simply says, “I'm here. Are you?” 🤍
