Blue lights don't stop addiction or shooting up. They make it so that people are using pond and street water or missing the vein.

There seems to be an increase in fentanyl overdoses in those who imbibe in he**in here. Please be safe, never use alone, and carry narcan. Planned parenthood and yokes can provide it for free.

As we mentioned last week, the relationship between substance use and homelessness is very complex. The idea that we can end homelessness by forcing people into treatment is NOT based on any scientific evidence. In fact, research has shown that mandated treatment often causes more harm than good for the people who are most severely affected by Substance Use Disorder (SUD). The science paints a pretty clear picture: we need to meet people where they're at and offer more compassionate, culturally-appropriate SUD services that focus on Harm Reduction and building community.

This seems silly, but safe drug use is important.
