Please join us in welcoming our two newest members to the Greater Spokane Valley Rotary Club!

We are excited to have both Kevin Carano and Dye Harley officially join the Rotary family. Rotary is built on service, leadership, friendship, and community impact—and these two gentlemen bring a wealth of experience and heart for the community.

Kevin Carano, Managing Partner at New York Life, brings strong leadership and a passion for serving others both professionally and personally.

Dye Harley, retired businessman and entrepreneur, brings decades of business experience, wisdom, and community involvement to the club.

At Spokane Valley Rotary, we believe great communities are built when people from different backgrounds come together to serve. We’re grateful to have Kevin and Dye joining us as we continue making a difference locally and around the world.

Welcome to Rotary, Kevin and Dye! 👏🔵🟡

Great friendships are one of the best parts of being involved in Rotary.

This week, members of the Greater Spokane Valley Rotary Club enjoyed one of our “Wild Card Wednesdays” — a special fifth Wednesday gathering focused on building relationships and having fun together outside of our normal meetings. This time, we spent the evening together at 24 Taps Burgers and Brews for a great meal and even better conversation.

Rotary is about serving our community, but it’s also about meaningful connection. Through service projects, local partnerships, and nights like these, lifelong friendships are formed along the way.

If you’ve ever wondered what Rotary is all about, we’d love to invite you to come check it out. Join a group of people who care deeply about making a difference in Spokane Valley — and enjoy some great community while you’re at it.

This month, members of the Greater Spokane Valley Rotary rolled up their sleeves and served together at Second Harvest Inland Northwest’s Volunteer Center—helping sort and prepare food for families across our region.

Second Harvest is on a mission to fight hunger and feed hope, working to ensure that everyone has access to fresh, healthy food while building a stronger, more connected community.

From packing food boxes to working side-by-side as a team, it was a powerful reminder of what happens when people come together to serve others. Every hour volunteered helps turn generosity into real impact—putting meals on tables and hope in homes.

We’re grateful for opportunities like this to live out Rotary’s motto: Service Above Self.

Want to make a difference too? Consider volunteering or supporting Second Harvest—because when neighbors help neighbors, our whole community is strengthened. 💚

Recently, a few of our members had the opportunity to tour the Ronald McDonald House Charities here in Spokane—and we walked away inspired.

The Ronald McDonald House provides a “home away from home” for families with children receiving medical care. When a child is hospitalized, the last thing a family should have to worry about is where they’ll sleep, how they’ll eat, or how they’ll stay close. RMHC steps in to meet those needs with compassion, dignity, and care—keeping families together during some of life’s hardest moments.

As part of the Greater Spokane Valley Rotary Club, we are committed to serving our community in tangible ways. On the 4th Wednesday of every month, our club steps outside of our regular meetings to serve local nonprofits and meet real needs in our community.

After seeing the impact of RMHC firsthand, we’re excited to share that our next service project will be:

📅 Wednesday, April 22
📍 Serving at the Ronald McDonald House

We’re looking forward to coming alongside their team to support the families they serve—whether through meals, service, or simply lending a helping hand.

If you’re passionate about making a difference in Spokane Valley, we’d love to have you join us.

Service above self. That’s what we’re about.
