We're excited to be part of this year's event at the American Legion in Post Falls on Sunday, June 28th from 11 AM – 3 PM.

Things to know

Light up our neighborhood - If you see a streetlight out in our neighborhood you can call Kootenai Electric @ 208-765-1200 - their Operations Department is responsible for fixing the streetlights. Please provide the pole number which is located on the street side of the light pole and the closest cross-streets.

Impeding passage - Tree branches hanging over sidewalks or shrubs growing over sidewalks should be trimmed to for clear passage. People on bikes and mobility scooters and those tall walkers/runners will thank you.

Trip Hazard - Raised sidewalks are a liability for homeowners they can be ground down to remove trip hazards. We did some research and found for DIYers renting a machine to grind sidewalks rent for about $250 for a 24-hour period. If homeowners work together, it would reduce individual costs. The are also companies that offer sidewalk grinding service.

Approval of Previous Meeting Minutes – All Present Approved

Community Topics Discussed

Reports of Officers:
o. Treasurer’s Report-
o Financial report presented – see attached. Year-to-date operating income is approximately $415,822 with expenses of $19,186. Current cash balances approximately $547,061, including operating and reserve funds

Reports of Committees:
o Violations – 38 violation letters were issued this month.
o ARC – All submitted Architectural Requests were received and approved
o Landscaping – Three diseased trees have been removed, with two additional removals pending.
o Irrigation – Irrigation startup and backflow testing have begun, with 26 backflow devices tested. Sprinkler head repairs are in progress.
o Communication – Homeowners were reminded that swales, trees, and sidewalks are the homeowner’s responsibility.

Old Business
o Tree survey - we are continuing to seek a qualified arborist to complete a tree survey. Andrea is actively working to identify vendors.
o Code of Conduct – two draft versions were provided for review. Board members will review and prepare for discussion and decision at the April Meeting.
o Shed Key – the shed lock has been rekeyed and new keys distributed to Jeff, Jan and Andrea.
o Community Garage Sale – Potential dates were introduced and Board members will review and recommended dates and discuss further in April.
o Community Outreach/Car Show – The American Legion will host an event the week after the Fourth of July including a car show. The Board discussed having an HOA booth at the event. Mary Jo will research participation costs.

New Business
o Fence repairs – One wind damaged fence section at Johnson’s property has been temporarily repaired. Two additional fence sections require repair due to wind damage, located near: Poleline & Partridge and Poleline and White Sands.

We’ve had a homeowner reach out with this message.

“I think it’s pretty common that we all like the trails and walkways around fieldstone it’s also really nice when somebody brings bags to pick up their dogs excrement however, you kind of missed the point when you just throw the filled bag in the middle of the walkway and expect somebody else to dispose of your dogs p**p. Seriously I hope you see this whoever you are as I see this all the time the same colored green bag and filled with p**p do the right thing.”
