Did you know that this week is National FFA Week?
Today, we celebrate Alumni Day, and I am very proud to be a Timberlake FFA Alumni!
FFA is one of the largest student-led organizations with 1,042,245 members in 9,407 chapters across all 50 states, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The National FFA Organization provides leadership, personal growth, and career success training.
Throughout the Columbia River Circuit, there are approximately 332 FFA chapters, with 194 in Washington, 120 in Oregon, and 18 in Northern Idaho.
During my years in FFA, I developed many wonderful life skills and had the opportunity to learn more about agriculture. From various leadership development events, such as prepared public speaking and job interview to career development events, such as agricultural sales and equine evaluation, to having a supervised agricultural experience of training my own service dog, to even receiving the highest degree achievable in the organization, the American FFA Degree. FFA provides so many enriching opportunities for our youth to learn about the agricultural industry and develop important life skills.
FFA is all about building the future of agriculture. 💛💙
I believe in the future of agriculture,
Hayven Chase
