🌧️ Weather-Related Delivery Delays Possible

Due to flash flooding over the weekend, some of our Home Delivered Meals routes may be impacted on Monday, October 12th.

❤️ We ARE planning to make deliveries and will do our very best to reach everyone! However, we ask for your patience and understanding as deliveries may take longer than usual due to:

🚧 Road closures and alternate routes

💦 Standing water and muddy conditions

🚗 Limited or delayed access to homes and driveways

📞 HOW YOU CAN HELP!

If you know that flooding, mud, standing water, or road conditions may make it difficult for our drivers to safely reach your home, please call the Rutherford County Senior Center Monday morning. This will help us plan ahead and make necessary adjustments to our routes.

❤️ Your safety and the safety of our drivers are our top priorities. We are committed to doing everything we safely can to get meals to those who depend on us.

We need 4 more appointments to meet the minimum number required for the bus to come to us. Please share this on your personal FB post and if its time for your mammogram or you haven’t had one in awhile, call and schedule your appt. Breast Cancer has affected so many. These screenings are important in early detection.

BIG CHANGES ARE COMING TO MEDICARE PLANS IN RUTHERFORD COUNTY!

This year, several Medicare Advantage Plans will no longer be offered in Rutherford County for 2027. It is extremely important that you review your current coverage and understand how these changes may affect YOU!

⚠️ IMPORTANT PLAN CHANGES:

AETNA: All Medicare Advantage Plans are being discontinued in Rutherford County. Aetna's stand-alone Prescription Drug Plan (PDP) is not included in this discontinuation.

Humana: 2 plans discontinued.

UnitedHealthcare (UHC): 4 plans discontinued.

WellCare: 2 plans discontinued.

📬 CHECK YOUR MAIL!

You should have received your Annual Notice of Changes (ANOC) by September 30. This notice explains important changes to your current Medicare coverage for 2027.

❗ DO NOT ASSUME YOUR COVERAGE WILL STAY THE SAME!

If your Medicare Advantage Plan is ending and you do nothing, you may be returned to Original Medicare for 2027 without the prescription drug coverage or additional benefits you previously had.
