Good Afternoon!
Our next ECA Meeting is coming up on Wednesday February 21st at 12:30pm. This month Brenda Atchley will be at our meeting showing how to make different size bows. If you have any extra ribbon you have lying around, bring with you, both wired and unwired. We will also exchanging secret sister names (if you’d like to take part), we will be voting on a donation amount for the Boys & Girls Club, and Janis Byers will be doing a brief presentation on the Soda Tabs donation. Also, don’t forget, if you’ve not paid your county ECA dues they are due at the February meeting. The county dues re $12.00.
At our March meeting we will be having a cooking demo, having a discussion about our upcoming cookbook release, and will be discussing District Day.
Mark your calendars for our ECA District meeting which will be on April 19th. If you have any suggestions on a theme or speaker, please let Kelly know.
Our County Cultural Arts Contest is coming up next month and we’d love every member to participate. We have so many talented members and there is something on the Cultural Arts list that everyone can make/enter. I’ll attach a list to this email so you can see all the options and if you don’t see an option for something you’d like to enter….there’s a miscellaneous category! If you need help or need an idea of something you could enter, please contact Kelly or Kay and we are happy to help. All entries for this years contest are to be dropped off at the Extension Office on March 27th from 10:00-12:00. Judging will be on March 28th. All first place winners entries will be held at the office for the District Day which will be held just three weeks later. All non first place winners need to be picked up the afternoon of the 28th. If you need earlier drop off or later pickup, please let Kelly or Kay know.
And finally, don’t forget about our community service projects! You can bring Bingo Prizes for the Nursing Homes, Children’s books (new/used) for the Health Department, Soda Tabs for the Ronald McDonald House, or bring your extra change to “feed” Ruthie the Pig.
