The Omegabytes Robotics Team is grateful for the community that continuously supports us. The Rutherford County Senior Center is a key component. We believe it’s just as important to invest that energy right back.

We are determined to help make Rutherford County, NC a hub for talented, smart, and dedicated students who are ready to carve out their place in the world. An incredible weekend for Omegabytes 5727 at our FIRST Robotics District Competition #1 in Cabarrus County! The team did an outstanding job learning the gameplay, adapting their strategy, and making the most of our robot on the field.

They brought home the Team Spirit Award! This recognition reflects the enthusiasm, energy, and positive attitude our students bring to every competition and to the entire FIRST community.

A huge thank you to our students, mentors, families, and sponsors who continue to support the Omegabytes and make opportunities like this possible.

We’re thrilled to announce the 2026 Meta Data Center Community Action Grants recipients!

Through our Data Center Community Action Grants program, Meta provides funding for nonprofits and schools to support the long-term vitality of Cleveland, Henderson, McDowell, Rutherford, and Polk Counties. We fund projects that address critical community needs by putting technology to use for community benefit, enabling people to build strong, sustainable communities and improving local science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics (STEAM) education.

We’ve been busy in the lab ~~ and not just building a robot.

The Omegabytes 5727 team has been hard at work on presentations, outreach ideas, and real business development projects that our community will see coming to fruition very soon. This is more than robotics… it’s leadership, innovation, and a whole lot of teamwork.
